I sincerely hope they do show a"classic"film as well as have the interview as promised a few weeks ago as the only Argento i have seen on the big screen is "Giallo"and we all know how that turned out.Can't see the boys being unable to source a print of one of his oldies so if we aren't going to get a screening to go with the talk i would wonder.....why?
Edit:just to add-i'm not a newbie having a moan,just wondering(and my previous posts have gone missing for some reason!)

The boys have actually announced on the FaceBook page that there will be no film.

Actual message is;
In the end we have decided not to show one. There are many reasons for this, but it in the end came down to the non -availability of decent copies of the better ones. Dario is still coming and he will be interviewed on stage as billed.

Bit gutted about that actually ... :(

I am very surprised,even a scratchy old print of "Bird" or something would have done,didn't need to be in pristine condition,come on gents-what are the "many reasons"?Knowing you guys this obviously isn't a decision you would have taken lightly but i honestly reckon a lot of people will be more than a bit disappointed.Ask Dario to bring something over with him-he is your mate after all Alan! :)

Yeah im suprised about this too. I was convinced it would be Drac 3D.

and as for old film prints and poor quality - man thats half the charm, something cool about old crappy film reels - bit like an old LP.

Shame.

Perhaps what with the Empire installing the new Dolby Atmos sound system, and presumably having digital projectors in Screen 1 they might not actually have the facility to play film anymore?

It's like finding a cool old VHS tape that you want to watch and realising you threw away the player when you upgraded to Blu-Ray.

Heared quite a few bad things about Dracula 3D, so don't mind that not being there.

Not a bad fan of interviews, so I'll probably give this a miss, the alternative film in the Discovery screen (The Victim) doesn't look great, so I might go to the pub for a few hours in the middle of the day.

I'm leaning towards skipping this too, although I never thought I'd say it. Like Wolfshade, I'm there to watch the films and if there isn't one (and I was really hoping for a classic) I'm not that bothered.

The Victim looks OK to me and might be good for some cheesetastic light relief after Nightbreed, plus it leaves an hour and twenty before HitW to get some proper food when it's all a bit tight later on. There's a newish review here.

Not an issue for me. If they show up, I'll make do with Jennifer Blanc :D.

Haven't seen any timing listings for all screens floating round this year so have drafted up a quick one myself (there could be mistakes in it!)

I'm sure someone will do a much better, pocket sized one before FF but this may help with planning alternative films to the main screen ones...
