Gig-wise I see that the reformed Hoover and Bluetip are doing a one-off show in London:

A spectacularly grim and depressing score, but most of Shore is and this is, incredibly, one of his more listenable ones. It's probably my most frequently played of Shore's work for Cronenberg; later stuff like Spider is so grim and bleak it's unbearable. I know not everything can be poppy Britney happy happy, but there are limits.orlovsky wrote:I'm not listening to it yet, but it's on my "must buy" list:
The Video Drome soundtrack
I'm listening to nothing right now - I'm at work.

I do like them lots. A few of my friends give me quite a lot of flack for prefering them to At the Drive In.. but what do they knowGirl Serial Killer wrote:I'm listening to The Mars Volta. Probably my favourite band, I just never get tired of listening to them.

Yeah, At the Drive-In is the more 'cool' one to like. I do like them and wish I'd seen them play but there's no comparison to TMV really. It's a completely different genre of music!arrangedletters wrote:I do like them lots.
