Resurrecting this one, just so Soulmining (and anyone else over 25) can poke emo jokes at me -
NEW FALL OUT BOY ALBUM IS AWESOME - FACT!!!!
Not a fan of From Under the Cork Tree, Infinity on High is fast becoming a staple part of my listening, and the cover has a flying sheep on the front!
Add to the fact the bassist is hot - a girls got it made!!

Have you heard of my friends capital letter and comma?
No? Well perhaps you should try them sometime... correct usage will do wonders for your social life.

I wasn't planning on taking the piss, Trixy... But since you mention it... No, my esteemed buddy Mr 12A was playing it in the car when we did our cinema trip last week, so I can't really slate it.
As for me, it's The Shins latest album Wincing The Night Away - they had quite a few tracks in the Garden State movie and their new album is fab!

Well seeing as emo - or post-hardcore as I prefer it to be called so people don't think I listen to the current fashionable tat;) - has been around since the mid-80's (Embrace, Rites of Spring, etc).trixybella wrote: (and anyone else over 25) can poke emo jokes at me
An update:
Gray Matter - Thog (my fave emo album of all time from 1992, which I've only had on vinyl, but just bought the CD)
Love Is All - The Same Song Nine Times (X-Ray Spex at a disco)
Fugazi - Live In London ('nuff said - would beat the current crop of emo bands to a pulp if they weren't pacifist vegans)
Husky Power - Ghost Is Not a House (if that's what the album's actually called!!!)
V/A - Burn To Shine Vol 3: Portland DVD (w/ Mirah, Sleater Kinney, The Decemberists, The Gossip, etc)
Cat Power - The Greatest

Danny Elfman... I have a load of his albums but the only one I really, really love is Midnight Run.James W wrote:Nightmare before Christmas OST! yeah I know its a few onths away (!) but all this snow got me in the mood
Today being what would have been Jerry Goldsmith's 78th birthday, I've had the ALIEN scores on - they're available as isolated tracks on the DVD. Wonderful, bleak music. And the first STAR TREK movie as well, which is a classic.

Currently playing: On Her Majesty's Secret Service (John Barry); the full 79 minute CD. Easily Barry's finest Bond score; and actually the best Bond score by anyone (the best non-Barry Bond is Live And Let Die).
