Dead of Night (1945, classic British horror, proper scary stuff), and Commando, the R1 director's cut. Two quite different movies... I love Commando, it's fab, and Dead of Night still scares me with that ventriloquist story.

Dead of Night is awesome - first horror movie I ever saw (I watched it at a tender young age with my mother - little did she know what fires she started that day!)

After a rec from a friend I await the delivery of Last of the Mohicans.

Also ordered the John Hughes collection today (The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles and Weird Science). At a teeny-weeny £5.99 it's an absolute steal. I'm even tempted to buy a set for another friend who has 'So, what would you little maniacs like to do first' printed on her business card (works for a design company - they encourage, uh, zaniness). And for that price, it'd be remiss of you all to not order!

Hi,

Well I'm currently trying to buy fewer DVD's to catch up on all those I've not yet watched (like thats going to work! )

However, just stopped by my local Poundland and found their selling films on the "Hard Gore" label? These were

Creepozoids
Dead Creatures
Strange Behaviour
At Dawn they Sleep
Zombie Chronicles
Deep River Savages
Thirst

these could be good or very bad, I look forward to watching them though. What surprises me is some actually have quite good extras on which can't be bad for £1!

Great idea for a topic by the way
live fast, die young and leave a good looking corpse

Got the new MGM disc of "The Burning" winging its way to me from DVD pacific.

Seen the film a million times on VHS, but have been holding out for a decent DVD release.

Not a movie but I bought Oz season 2 today, having been a massive fan of this during the insomniac hours on Channel 4 a few years ago, I'm delighted they've stuck it on dvd, it's like Prison Break, only more violent, nobody gets out and they aren't as good looking..... so maybe nothing like Prison Break at all, I'm just excited that season 3 starts in less than a week!!!! :D
Have you heard of my friends capital letter and comma?

No? Well perhaps you should try them sometime... correct usage will do wonders for your social life.

Sounds silly but can you describe the trailer? Myself and ghoul drool saw a Buckaroo Banzai trailer years ago in the 80s, but this particular trailer doesn't seem to be on the internet anywhere. If it starts of with Buckaroo walking along to the end credits music, it's not the one I remember.
