Finally got Akira on blu-ray working (I'm so glad the blu-ray consortium are doing _such_ a good job on ensuring that the spec for the format is all over the place) The transfer looks wicked, and may well have to be on this weekends viewing list (sorry Doris!)

It’s pay day, so this month’s little haul was:
The Killing
Wrong Turn 2
Rambo 4 Disc Collection
Just Before Dawn
Hell Night
Dawn Of The Dead ‘04 Director’s Cut
The Eiger Sanction
Hardcore
Shocker
AWOL
Yow. All UK purchase this month. £/$ still making trips to DVD Pacific less profitable than it used to be. Hopefully things’ll pep up soon. I’ve got imports I’m itching to snag.

Just ordered Bad Biology which will be released tomorrow. Can't wait to see it again!
the rest of this months dvd budget went to Street fighter 4 on the ps3, I'm feeling like a 12 year old again. Only with better toys

You can't do nothing right, Cooper! You stupid sonofabitch! You should have been destroyed at birth! That's what I get for teaming up with a hippie!
If you'd of ordered it from HMV, you'd of had it by now (sorry Rawshark!)Melvin Junko wrote:Just ordered Bad Biology which will be released tomorrow. Can't wait to see it again!)
Just spotted that Movietyme have Let the Right One In and the Boo-ray version of Silence of the Lambs in stock, so I've cancelled my playusa order, and will, hopefully get to watch LtROI again before saturday.

yeah i got turkey shoot from pound land. i actually have tonns of hardgore stuff, get it when i'm low on cash but need a quick fix of dvd purchasing. Some real stinkers there and some good stuff, but for a pound you can't really go wrong (unles you buy vampires vs zombies or the zombie chronicles, in that case you're ripped of bigtime)
it is strange how random the pound land dvd selection is yeah, sometimes it's loads of different hardgore titles, sometimes ninja stuff, went to the one in harrow yesterday and they had loads of penthouse softporn dvd's

You'll find when the film companies especially the smaller ones go under, shops like poundland will buy all the crap they are trying to shift. I've picked up loads of Tartan titles for a £1 in the one near me. Not seen the softporn though!Melvin Junko wrote:yeah i got turkey shoot from pound land. i actually have tonns of hardgore stuff, get it when i'm low on cash but need a quick fix of dvd purchasing.
