Simiilar and superior (but only just) to Kevin S Tenny's Peacemaker from the same year which has an almost identicle premise (in a marvellously b-movie version of the Deep Impact/Armageddon or Dante's Peak/Volcano duke outs.)
But Peacemaker's a bit more Trancers than Dark Angel's wacky Red Heat-vibe

You can't do nothing right, Cooper! You stupid sonofabitch! You should have been destroyed at birth! That's what I get for teaming up with a hippie!

Today I did my monthly pay weekend tour of the local dvd stockists.
Here is what I came home with the following.
From shop number one, for the princely sum of £7:
I Bury The Living
Hostel Part II: Unseen Edition
One Hour Photo
Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed - I don't care what anyone says, the Scooby Doo films are awesome.
And shop number two, for the slightly higher amount of £30:
Born On The Fourth Of July
Spy Kids 2: The Island Of Lost Dreams
Spy Kids 3D: Game Over
Capturing The Friedmans
Silence Of The Lambs: Spec Ed
The Mummy Returns: 2 Disc Spec Ed
Darkman
Darkman II: The Return Of Durant
Darkman III: Die Darkman Die
Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie
There doesn't seem to be an awful lot of decent horror in the shops around here, I fear my ex is on the ball and getting there before me.

Re-Agent Syriges & Laserdiscs
That's got to be the bargain of the year Jamie - will check out Nottingham HMVs tomorrow, even though I promised myself I wouldn't buy another version of Re-Animator until it hit hi-def - damn these stores and their irresistable barains !!
Grindhouse - very jealous (again) - didn't know Bordello even came out on laser! Love my Crypt shows and movies (even bought Ritual on doovdie) - lots of fun.
Have you (or anyone else) heard a rumour about an unreleased fourth movie that they filmed? Read something on t'internet a few weeks ago but can't remember which site it was to go and check up !! They say the brain's the first thing to go don't they?

Didn't mean to say/sound jealous, just really, really impressed - you certainly do have an eye for a bargain. Either that, or you've made some kind of Faust-like deal with the shopping Gods - wouldn't blame you, I know I'd happily give up my eternal soul for a cool laserdisc collection
Looking forward to seeing what you turn up next - in the meantime, I'm gonna go see if I can snag me one of those £3 R-Animators.

i was in Leicester today HMV had 5 of the Reanimator dvd but sold all of them unlikely to be restocked, but they do have Halloween 25 years of terror 4 disc set for £10 im rather poor right now other wise i would have had that in flash.
if you find the Reanimator disc set in notts HMV,Pete i would be grateful if you picked up a copy for me, i will try a few local HMV's near me for that dvd.
