120 notes for that lot is some pretty canny shopping!
I'm now stocking a videoshop, so litterally buying hundreds of films each week from disturbingly overpriced new releases to surprisingly affordable classics and bulk bargaiin trash that throw up the occasional gem. Also greedily feeding my bloated personal library at the same time is proving a financially reckless enterprise.
I'm trying to specialise in horror and buy
all new release horrors to that end, extra if i recognise it as a Frightfest film. This is not paying off so far and most people through the door just want Sherlock Holmes and Up in the Air, but i keep telling myself: "If you build it, they will come".
To try and improve the library here I've enlisted several "Video Pimps" who offer me cool titles to add to the dvd library (or in far too many cases just take home for myself).
I sell dvds too, so i will just about pay cash or credit for any/all dvds offered if people out there want to come on down and tell/offer me what my library is missing. I can't pay big money for esoteric genre classics, but fair money for what you can spare or want to get rid of.
For anyone who's interested; Filmnight Balham is right next to Balham tube station on the Northern line, or send me a pm on here.
It's early days yet, but i hope to make this place very Frightfest Friendly and indulge my own love for horror and cult weirdness at the same time, so I'd welcome all Frightfesters along with their films, oppinions and anything else they'd like to talk about.
So come on down or get in touch.
(appologies to any who feel this is a shameless advertisement, it's not intended as such, but maybe it is!)
I've come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass... and I'm all out of bubblegum
