Of these I was anticipating Dead@17 because I have read an issue of the comic.
Sadly this looked like some kids who liked the comic had made a fan film. Not low fi enough to amuse and not acted well at all.

We're Ready For You Now was the annual David McGillvray treat. I missed the intro, where he and Alan Jones usually treat us to their Morecambe and Wise of Camp double act - but happily they reprised it during the quiz (2/20 for me). Someone should give this man a "Tales of the Expected but Still Damn funny" series !

The Dear Hunter was a nicely delivered Gary Larson joke.
Pig Tale was a bit too earnest in the acting but a decent story.
The highlight was Little Brats. Mister Bean meets Le Boucher in The City of Lost Children.

Disappointing overall.

We're Ready For You Now was rubbish.

Dead@17 was rubbish.

The Dear Hunter was one gag, done reasonably well.

Pig Tale was pretty good.

A Noiva didn't seem to go anywhere.

Les Morveux was excellent.

Not very good shorts this year.

We're Ready For You was a load of crap. Completely pointless.

The Dear Hunter was naff too.

Pig Tales was okish, but a bit daft.

That foreign one with the couple was ok, but was really at heart a standard scene from a slasher film. A short film needs some kind of twist.

Then there was Little Brats. If it hadn't been so short I'd have walked out. Offensive crap. Why do something like that and try and play it for laughs? Though at least the killer died, so there was some sort of redemption.

Have to say the best of the lot is Little Brats. Rather enjoyed that one. Those freaky looking heads!

I thought this was a delightful few minutes, absolutely hilarious stuff.

I missed the first few so can't really comment on those... the only one I saw that I did enjoy very much was the last one, Little Brats.

Also thought In The Wall (before Day Watch) was very good too.

I forgot to mention Dead at 17. I sort of liked this, it was funny. Will we ever see the next part?

mike was a top guest and a very nice chap over the entire weekend

his wife was ill on the last day but she struggled along to catch her husbands well received screening

i thought it looked and sounded amazing on the b-i-g screen

a talent to watch out for in the future!

None of the day's shorts really stood out - Dead@17 in particular was hopeless. Of them all I'd only seen Little Brats already; it's fun in a sadistic black-humoured way but hardly a great short film.

The McGillivray caused me to mutter one of my few outright expletives (for which I apologise) when the lead character woke up! The old "it was a dream" yet again. Damn, I hate that.

A Noiva - the deafening sound counts against it. It was loud with my fingers in my ears.
