[quote="Dom"]I'll be honest this didn't do anything for me. The daughter was good though and the crowd reaction to her fate was justified LOL![/quote#]

I am afraid I have to agree with the comments above. Did not really get engrossed with the film. The Christmas and chopped liver scene made me smirk.

I do know from talking to people afterwards they loved this film.

Just freaked out by how the Dad looks like my father and how my father does a similar job.

I don't think he is abusing and murdering people from the airport....
But does he look in blue eyeshadow and your mums dress? ;)

The bit that really cracked me up in this was when they were eating breakfast and there was a skin flick playing on the TV. They all just sat there eating as if it was the most normal thing in the world.

Great film.

Wonderfully balanced, and fantastically drawn characters brought to life by superb acting - just a superb British film!

Excellent film... further proof after Eden Lake that the British new wave starts here! A really original low budget gem with some great performances - Perry Benson in particular - and I really liked the sparring relationship between the two girls as they competed for Mum & Dad's affection.

I really enjoyed this, one of the best and the one I found the most disturbing at this year's FF. My impression afterwards was of it being a f***ed up Royle Family too...glad it's not just me who saw it that way.

I loved the raffle at the end and the Love Hearts handed out at the start - they bookended the film really well.

the PORno DAD? should have been impotent?

i cant believe people loved this!
it sucked for one reason, the DAD was a sexmaniac, totally felt that scene was there for the thrills and to repulse people. watching porn while eating breakfast, eh what?

It would have been better of the dad had a problem with getting sexually turned on, it would have been so much more real and powerful. I've read a lot on serial killers and they are very often impotent, maybe the director could rethink and reedit

most folk i know will hate this movie for those bits, its a shame as its BrillIANT except for that, even the dad character his other funny bits were great

maybe its just me and i didnt want it to be such a sleazy comedy, felt it was wasted i suppose as long as it finds a crowd, but im not one of them.

My mum has been complaining that her dresses and shoes seem bigger then usual.... AND there is the scary shed at the bottom of their garden that none of us are allowed into...

i couldnt really get into this film it was well made with some good casting especially mum/dad and the daughter but it was just alitle too english eccentric for me and very much the royles meet the mansons and the xmas scene seemed alittle too over the top compared with the rest of the film

I agree with this, although it still made me laugh. This film was definitely among my favourites.

This one's been picked up for distribution here and in America.

Way back in June we told you about a little UK horror comedy called MUM & DAD (check out that first update HERE), though truth be told, this flick looks far from being a comedy, but that's what they're saying so let's just roll with it. Now here we are, it's September (already!), and MUM & DAD has been scooped up for both UK and US distribution!

According to Variety, Revolver Entertainment scored the distribution rights to Steven Sheil's tale of a pair of deranged airport employees who scavenge, torture, and murder. Very f*cking cool.

No word on whether this beast will go theatrical or straight to DVD... I'm guessing maybe a super limited release with grand-slam of a DVD release. We shall see. Check out the trailer below and stick around for more on MUM & DAD as we hear it!

Wahey - great news..! :D

btw - thanks to all of you who provided reactions on the day. We're currently editing them in assorted formats, and hoping we can create a piece strong enough to include on the DVD.
