Really enjoyed this -- a nice step up for Adam Gierasch from the fun Autopsy directorially. Some great touches, especially the sepia flashbacks and the blood-bath moment.

And "tentacle tits" as well.

Looking foward to hearing what he has lined up as his "secret" next project.

Linnea Quigley moment was disturbing for other ways though. I still have her "Skin" book. Almost makes you want to weep, now that she looks a little like Jackie Stallone,

This was a fun movie, very well put together with some great pieces - a big step up from Gierasch's first movie Autopsy.

Everything you always wanted to know about demon sex ...

This was the point I felt like I was at Frightfest proper.
(Had to miss most of FF this year.)

Cracking fun, lots of (un)gratuitous demon sex
("If you're going to put it in there you're going to need ... !")
witty, gory, and even a little bit scary ;-)

Oh the soundtrack was excellent. Can we buy one?

Does anyone else get a "Woody Allen if he was into horror instead of pretentiousness" vibe from Adam G's q&as?
Perhaps his next film is a remake of Hannah & Her Sisters ?

I thought this movie was appalling! :?

But maybe if I was 15 again...

I was expecting this to be dreadful, so was pleasantly surprised that it was such good fun. It's silly and utterly forgettable, but an enjoyable romp none the less.

Definitely one of the highlights for me, a really enjoyable fun movie.

Hmm after sitting through Autopsy I really was thinking - shall I go to the pub and sink a pint or shall I see this? Surprised myself by liking it. Pretty entertaining in a brain-dead kind of way and I really liked the pumping soundtrack.

Managed to tick quite a few boxes, but didn't quite come together for jonbly. A step up from Autopsy, though, so at least the director's moving in the right direction.

6/10

It amused me that in the Q&A they commented on the fact that one of the cast told Edward Furlong that he looked like kd lang in that t-shirt. I spent the whole film wondering "who's the bloke that looks like Kathy Burke?"

This is the kind of film I came to the fest to see. Cheesy, lots of blood, demons, intertextuality and plenty of boobs.

I've not seen the original so I don't know how they compare but I thought this was pretty decent. It had good gore, hot girls and some genuine laughs.

I don't know about kd lang . . . I spent the whole movie thinking 'Holy Shit, Edward Furlong has turned into Peter Lorre'. Every time he appeared from behind a door with his beer gut & his bugged out eyes to whine about how he still couldn't find his way out of the damned house I laughed so hard that I almost forgot I was watching ANOTHER FUCKING ADAM GIERASCH MOVIE!!! For hell's sake won't I ever learn: the words 'Adam' & 'Gierasch' anywhere on a movie poster means certain doom for another 100 or so braincells. This was bad, bad, bad, bad, BAD.

Demons are allergic to rust huh? Cool but I think I'm allergic to Adam Gierasch movies, I come out in a rash on my ass & rant uncontrollably on internet movie forums. Fuck.

Very disappointing - spent most of the movie waiting for it to end.

It was silly, nonsensical, upfront and aggressive. And loud. This one, probably more than most of the film festival, had me wanting to turn the sound down. Ear-splitting is one thing, ear-splitting punk rock is something else entirely.

Overall I didn't care much for it, but thinking back I didn't particularly mind it either. It's okay. But it's nowhere, nowhere near as good as Autopsy. That was good, ghoulish, stylish and nasty edged fun.

I haven't seen the original. Rather enjoyed this film. Like the setting of mansion. Did have atmosphere,a few jumps and some good deaths.
