Or, just as an idea, get groups of 4 or 6 and hire an apartment in Glasgow for 2 or 3 nights, some of the ones I have been looking at come in about £70 - £80 a night, split 4 ways thats £20 each.
Yes you would have to sort out you're own breakfast but you can stock the fridge up with food and beer.
The reason I suggested this is I did something similar in Edinburgh this year and it saved us a lot of money, but there was 8 of us in a 3 bed apartment.

Just as a thought here, £148 for 4 people for 2 nights, £18.50 each for a city centre apartment. That is the best deal I have found so farkrispyg wrote:Or, just as an idea, get groups of 4 or 6 and hire an apartment in Glasgow for 2 or 3 nights, some of the ones I have been looking at come in about £70 - £80 a night, split 4 ways thats £20 each.

I found a few cheap options on this site:

By the way, how much did everyone pay for HHH in August? I think I paid about 35 quid a night but I only booked it a week in advance.

Well, I'm gonna be staying ....... in my flat. Just posting to let you know the thistle is the nearest to the GFT and it has a good reputation. The other close by, big name option would be the Travel Lodge Central, just around the corner from the Thistle.
There's also a ton of little B+Bs on Renfrew Street( http://www.glasgowonline.co.uk/street/renfrew_street ) if you want a more personal touch.

Ta! I looked at the B&Bs on review sites and they were nasty (I am very very fussy!!)
Re: Accommodation in Glasgow for FF 2010
Go for the Thisle then, it's the best we've got near to the GFT.

God dammit!! The thistle was cheaper? :P
Mr Jay will be happy to know that Giz, Dog, Rufus, SarahP and Maxi usually have a drinking session on the last night as well as a chit chat before we all abandon each other
You're more than welcome to pile in too... just watch out for Rufus' wandering hands...
Same goes for Jamie n others... urrrrr it's BYOB though
