GLASGOW FRIGHTFEST FEB 2010
Re: GLASGOW FRIGHTFEST FEB 2010
Hi, I booked the boring ole Travelodge and it was only £130 for the double room for 3 nights (thurs/fri/sat) including brekkie. Cannae say fairer than that!!!!
Re: GLASGOW FRIGHTFEST FEB 2010
So the other question is, how hard is it to get tickets for Glasgow? It's not like the all nighter where they are sold out in a minute is it? Please tell me I won't have wasted my time and money booking flights and hotels and then not be able to get a ticket??!!

Re: GLASGOW FRIGHTFEST FEB 2010
Pumpkin, how can i put this...
The tickets for glasgow frightfest go faster than paul mcevoy's speech after he's had afew dozen drinks at the August frightfest afterparty! ( Sorry paul, but you know it's true! looove you! )
to answer your question, yes. they go VERY VERY fast! i was using TWO phones to dial and it still took me almost 3/4 of an hour to get through one year!

I like your train of thought puppy!
But what can you bribe a scotsman with to do your bidding?

Re: GLASGOW FRIGHTFEST FEB 2010
we're unbribable. I've not had any problems getting tickets the past couple of years(i've also been getting tickets for friends as well).
If you're gonna be phoning(probably only 1 booking line) it will take a while. Best bet is always to keep an eye on the forum and when other people start getting their tickets then you start to panic.

Re: GLASGOW FRIGHTFEST FEB 2010
I found getting tickets easy enough last year, booked online without any issues.
The GFT is a lot larger than the ICA as well which helps.
Plus now being the owner of an iphone I can order online, even if I am in work.
If anyone feels they will genuinely struggle and would be happy to reimburse me then I will try and get you a ticket too.
If that fails there are 2 people who I used to work with who are both now working in Glasgow and I could probably call in a favour if need be.

Re: GLASGOW FRIGHTFEST FEB 2010
OK< I cant find the announcement of whats on - then again I'm quite bleary eyes and knackered.
I have hotel booked for Friday and saturday night and am booking train tickets - someone said on here it doesnt start till after 5pm friday night so I hope they are right - this really is too late to be leaving confirmations for people who need to sort out travel and holidays and accomodation.
So Im gonna be there by 5pm friday and am going home sunday - hope thats right!
When are they selling the flipping tickets?

I dunno. On the GFF site it says that tickets go on sale at 11:00 on the 21st, but I phoned up the Glasgow Film Theatre and they said the 20th.

Re: GLASGOW FRIGHTFEST FEB 2010
I believe it actually starts at 7 ....
The FF boys can't confirm the films until GFF confirm their lineup. Tis part of the agreement they have with the festival. Everything is locked down though, from what Mr Mcevoy hinted at on twitter Besides... Frozen is confirmed... that's all we need to know!!!

Expect a newsletter announcing our films on the 20th, the day before the tickets go on sale. The first film Frozen screens at 7 pm on the 26th and films start at 2 pm on the 27th.

Re: GLASGOW FRIGHTFEST FEB 2010
There is something about the Glasgow event that makes it different to the summer event.
Maybe it's a change of location or a different audience?
