Since the second day is a late start... shall we take a trip to see The Crazies at cineworld?

Sounds like a good plan if it fits in with the start time.

Is the venue equipped to show RealD presentations?
Although I don't really get excited about 3D movies, I seem to be gagging for Piranha 3D (that review mentioning a nude underwater swim by Kelly Brook just added to my excitement).
I reckcon this would be great fun to watch with a FF crowd!!

You may be gagging for quite a while if there is any truth in this CHUD story

Aaaaawwww.... those bloomin' Weinsteins!!

The loss of 3D wouldn't bother me personally, got dodgy eyes and don't get much of the effect - but having to wait until August will be a pain. If they're playing at the same time, think we might make a night of it and see it on a double-bill with the also-delayed Expendables - how much fun would that be?!

All the Weinstein's troubles could be Karma's way of saying "That's for f***ing about with Grindhouse" though :)

Slightly different speculation on the potential Pirahna 3D debacle

http://www.slashfilm.com/2010/01/15/pir ... ven-be-3d/

Either way, doesn't sound good for the Weinsteins, vultures are circling that company.

Yeah, it's bloody freezing, your surrounded by people all sound like rab c nesbitt, who's national anthem is 'i'm gonna be (500 miles) or the alternative is 'donald where's your trousers!' :D  , and it feels alittle more arty and alittle bit more intimmidating to me personally.

Or if everyone is about in the daytime, go on the Friday afternoon?

I for one am looking forward to Glasgow, it seems last summer and Haloween were ages ago...

Ha someone is getting lynched next month lol

Include the deep fried mars bar and that probably coveres all basis where scottish stereotypes are concerned. I do like Glasgow though it is a bit rough at times but it's a good laugh and most people up there are pretty sound and helpful.
And as for those sexy scottish girls....

Mark Miller Chats,

If any of the travelling support are in town early enough, and any other FrightFesters for that matter, fancy a wee warm up event before kick off at the GFT, the cinema is hosting local boy done good Mark Millar at 4.pm on the 26th.

Mark is the writer of many of the American comic industry’s biggest selling books in a decade, his career started by dropping out of university for stints at 2000AD, Warner Brothers and most recently Marvel Entertainment where he has been in charge of X-Men, Spider-Man and all their best known characters. His own creations two have been successful movie spin-offs including Wanted (with James McAvoy and Angelina Jolie) and the forthcoming Nicolas Cage feature Kick-Ass. Next up is Wanted 2, American Jesus and War Heroes for Sony Pictures. Mark will take questions from both fans and aspiring writers alike, and talk about writing, producing and his forthcoming directorial debut.

If it helps anyone decide we have our tickets to this already. Really looking forward to Mark Miller.

We've already been to see Ponyo and a Mark Kermode q and a this month at the GFT. An especially impressive year at the Glasgow Film Festival.

Hey guys I shall be attending my first frightfest and I'm just kinda wondering what to expect. I've lived in Glasgow for about 9 years and I am familiar with the GFT but I've never been to an event such as this.
