We went to see The Crazies on Friday morning and a guy in the back row was reading and listening (very loudly) to his Ipod when we got there. Admittedly it was during the trailers, but I still like to watch them, so I gestured for him to turn it down, and not thinking he heard me followed it up with "can you turn it down please" to which he replied "I heard you the first time"! (he did turn it down, but looked most put out)!!Filth87 wrote: Saying that, went to see The Crazies last night at the Glasgow Cineworld and two loud bams up the back were escorted out after talking loudly on the phone/shouting at people who were trying to shut her up, for a good third of the film. On the way out, someone hurled a drink over one of them, and she then fell down the stairs. It's great when justice is served.

Re: FIGHT FEST
I also went to see The Crazies at the 1.10pm show on Friday. I didn't have anything to complain about but the story about the I-Pod...WHAT A KNOB HEAD!!!!
I work in cinema and I go all the time and it astounds me how rude people are nowadays when watching films at the cinema.
Everytime I go I see mobile phones being checked. Are people so obsessed with "oooh I might have a message or an e-mail" I thought movies were supposed to be an escape! People seem to think that just because it is on silent that it is still ok to text or check their phones. It isn't and the reason why is because phone now are brighter than the sun when switched on and you are instantly drwn to it's glow! It is as though someone has a lighthouse they have just taken out of their pocket. IT IS JUST WRONG AND EXCEPTIONALLY INCONSIDERATE!
I always try and sit at the end just so I don't disturb anyone if I have to go the loo and I don't even crunch on silent bits (I experienced someone doing this durring the last Harry Potter film and it was so annoying). Wow...I sound like a real curmudgeon don't I! I am not I just wish people respcted the fact that people go to the cinema to watch a film and they should not treat it like their living room.
BTW..I agree that the guy who did the punching should also have gone but was well out of order if they were dissing his girlfriend/wife.
I don't think the fight ruined the night though and I imagine it woke a few up!
Cheers

They should put up scramblers in cinemas that rid the phone of connectivity. Problem solved!

The argument is that someone walking by outside a cinema could get caught in a dead zone and need to call the emergency services.... because a bin has fallen on them or something...rach wrote:They should put up scramblers in cinemas that rid the phone of connectivity. Problem solved!

or somebody throws a bottle through their apartment window onto the street
You can't do nothing right, Cooper! You stupid sonofabitch! You should have been destroyed at birth! That's what I get for teaming up with a hippie!
Re: FIGHT FEST
People who have bins fall on then in a street are simply vicims of natural selection :P they don't deserve emergency services.Satans Puppy wrote: The argument is that someone walking by outside a cinema could get caught in a dead zone and need to call the emergency services.... because a bin has fallen on them or something...
