I'd take that actually, and it's not a bad shout what with Adam being here having missed the Glasgow FF. I think it's just too late in the day to organise a new replacement, so I expect it'll just be a shuffling of the current program sadly.

My first year was 2008 and they had to replace The Substitute with King of the Hill so they must have back ups in place. Just a case of what.

I remember everyone laughing at the lead character's name in King of the Hill. Quim.

That really was terribly unfortunate.

let me in is a great shout, would be surprised if they had that as a back up though.
I was hoping for Tucker and Dale Vs Evil this year
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nx0GaB2EHUs
but again can't see why they'd keep it as a back-up. fingers-crossed they will pull another one of the films from the halloween line-up, then I guess it could be anything

I don't remember an explanation being giving. It might have a been a problem with the print not arriving or something.

Why not just show A Serbian Film and have everyone turn away at the banned bits? Like the chick version on the Cabin Fever DVD?

or have a BBFC guy with an airhorn or something. every time he sounds it, everyone put's their fingers in the ears and closes their eyes and goes 'lalalala'. then sound it again after a couple of seconds and we're back to the film.
it could work.

Or Alan could cue that "bi-boo" noise from disco records.

actually I wouldn't mind doing this if it meant we could watch it, just need a sheet with the exact times i need to sound the airhorn and I'm good to go. That way there will be no chance of anyone seeing an erect penis or whatever else it is they think will warp our fragile little minds. Just me dancing around the front with an airhorn.

Don't be silly.

Sunday is the BBFC guy's day off.

much better idea. this accompanied with a piece of card held over the projector.
I think I'd prefer that version to the uncut one
