They can't sell over the phone because it's not listed, and say they won't update site with new films till Tues. I'm keeping on hitting F5 on the site just in case.

Tip - to bypass the voice recognition software on the phone line, press zero.

odishon wrote:They said schedules go up on Tuesdays but I told them these are to go onsale at midday today. Reckon there's just a delay. Just hope there aren't more than 400 at the Vue buying them but I doubt it.
Apparently the Vue can't sell personal customers tickets either since it's not listed.

Anyone know if the actual venue has started selling to the queue yet?

Ah OK. They obviously haven't prepared properly or having tech problems.

I've spoken to Ian, who isn't actually in the country at the mo, and he's absolutely livid. He's left a voicemail on the Vue event manager's phone and is going to let me know as soon as he hears back. they aren't selling any tickets at all so far. I'll post on here when I hear back from him.

:)

Well this is a monumental cockup, isn't it?

I really didn't fancy queueing up in 29-degree heat (and looks like maybe it wouldn't have helped, anyway).

So what do we do now? Sit in front of the computer for 3 days hitting refresh? Or phone up at periodic intervals and shout "FRIGHTFEST!!!" at that fucking stupid automated booking "person" until we're blue in the face?

Nice work, Vue.

According to @Film4Frightfest's twitter feed (not sure who it actually is): The tickets are live in the cinemas as people were here to buy in person, so the tickets should filter through to the website shortly.

Call 08712 240 240, press 0 to bypass the automated system, talk to a friendly lass with a Northern accent and book your ticket.
