Rogue River
Rogue River
7/10 - feels like we've seen this too often, too recently. But that said, pretty well made and acted. The tension-building sound effects started to get pretty annoying by the end.

Re: Rogue River
Eased us into the day with a pair of nutters who were trying to copycat The Loved Ones in their own strange way, and not as successfully. I thought pouring boiling water down your neck would have hurt more than that, and left a scalding wound. Aparently not. 6/10 :?

really well acted especially by the "odd couple"
thought the end scene was a bit OTT

You're scared of mice and spiders, but oh-so-much greater is your fear that one day the two species will cross-breed to form an all-powerful race of mice-spiders, who will immobilize human beings in giant webs in order to steal cheese.

Re: Rogue River
Boring dross.
Made me wish I'd watched 'The Man Who Saw FrankenStein Cry'.

Re: Rogue River
Reminiscent of 'Frontiers', this is a strong entry in the wilderness captive sub-genre. Some good twists and solid acting by Page and Moseley enhanced the impact this film made on me. However, some silly decisions by the characters and the very familiar overarching storyline prevent the film from scoring more highly. 7.5 / 10
No tears, please. It's a waste of good suffering.
Re: Rogue River
Poor Bill Moseley, he's type casted so bloody much! He was rather humourous in this film, other than that it was terrible.

Re: Rogue River
I quite enjoyed this more than I had expected - not very original but well done overall
Re: Rogue River
Thought it was nicely paced film. Really liked the surrounding forest. Thought it was bit strange when the girl was in the basement did not investigate the other voice she heard.

Indeed, he needs to stop getting described as a "cult horror legend", or he'll always be cast as the derranged psychopath in B-movie tripe like this. Looks like The Devils Rejects was a flash in the pan for him, pretty much everything else he's done is utter cack.Maniacal wrote:Poor Bill Moseley, he's type casted so bloody much! Anyway, this was like a few other FF movies we've had recently, namely Mum & Dad and The Loved Ones, just nowhere near as good as either of them. Seen it before and seen it done far better.

Yup you just summed it up for me - moral of this tale never talk to strange men whilst attempting to scatter Dads ashes by a deserted river in the ass-end of nowhereWolfshade wrote:Maniacal wrote: Anyway, this was like a few other FF movies we've had recently, namely Mum & Dad and The Loved Ones, just nowhere near as good as either of them. Re: Rogue River

Rogue River
Better than it should have been and quite enjoyable but falls to
pieces when you sit and think about it. I liked that it was a nice clean house and not a TCM shite hole for once.

Seen it before, seen it better. Contrived and annoying, all at the same time.
