With August really not that far off, which films do you think will be playing at FrightFest The 13th?

I didn't realise Juan of the Dead had been released already..

um.. Maybe 'Extraterrestrial' can take its place on the list.

I also reckon Game of Werewolves, Penumbra and Replicas have a decent chance of appearing on the lineup.

Penumbra played at FrightFest Glasgow this year, so we probably won't get that again in August.

Excision looks like it could be good http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mL68VTAkNFc

I normally don't like to specualte and get my hopes up anymore, BUUUUT. I would really like to see 'The Last Will and Testament of Rosalind Leigh' on the bill for a few reasons.

1. It sounds and looks great.
2. It's the debut feature film by rue morgue creator rodrigo gudino. his three short films are awesome. i think they are on line somewhere or can be bought. (i had the upmost pleasure of watching them when i went to canada in '08 and watching them at the rue morgue house of horrors.
3. It's also a cannes, and i HOPE one or all of the frightfest boys will get to see it. Becasue we all know they have good taste in films.

The Lucifer Effect... could be utter rubbish though -
The makers of a chilling new horror movie in which an actress was nearly throttled are to go ahead with the delayed premiere after police released the unedited footage.

"The Lucifer Effect" should have been shown at the Cannes Film Festival in May, but the production was delayed when police in the UK investigating the terrifying strangling incident seized the raw footage.

The movie was then set to premiere at the Paramount Studios Screening Rooms in Melrose Avenue, Hollywood, California, on 27 October to coincide with the Halloween period but the director has since gone into hiding in Salvador, after unconfirmed reports in the Brazilian press, that one of the cast members has been hospitalized.

The Blair Witch style footage was shot in an abandoned mental asylum in Lincolnshire and is the first to explore the original directors controversial "enigmatic" technique in which actors have no access to a script and no idea what is going on. In this case, the Film centers around 8 people that won, bought or were awarded - what they thought was a Role in a Movie called "The Harrowing" - only to be locked in the Abandoned Mental Asylum for three days as part of a social experiment.

"The Lucifer Effect"is a found footage or hidden footage movie that seeks to demonstrate the so-called "Lucifer Effect" - a psychological condition brought about by trapping good people into an evil place; first, studied in the controversial 'Stanford Prison Experiment' in the 1970s, which had to be shut down as the students became increasingly abusive towards each other.

We can count out Killer Joe and Gob Bless America, both out before August.

I really want to see John Dies at the End and Coscarelli would be a great guest.

Also VHS, Aggression Scale, Lovely Molly. Would like to see Brandon Cronenberg's Antiviral if it's worthy.
