Couldn't limit myself to five films, such a good line up this year:
1. American Mary - just the thing to wake us up on a Monday morning, I'm guessing there'll be a bit of a run on Dead Hooker In A Trunk on the strength of this
2. Grabbers
3. Dead Sushi
4. Paura 3D
5. VHS
6. Sleep Tight
7. Chained
8. Guinea Pigs

1. We Are The Night
2. Sinister
3. Maniac
4. American Mary
5. Chained

also honourable mentions to Sleep Tight, The Seasoning House, V/H/S, and in particular The Inside, which covered the same sort of ground as Hidden In The Woods, but was massively better and should have been in the main screen instead of HITW.

In no real order and 5 is a struggle as I wasn't overly impressed this year

American Mary
Eurocrime
The Seasoning House
Stitches
Rasputin

Can't do a top 5 as that'd mean having to drop a couple of favourites so I'll just score everything I saw (annoyed I overslept and missed Eurocrime! though)...

Sleep Tight - 9/10

[Rec]3: Genesis - 9/10

American Mary - 8/10

Chained - 8/10

Sinister - 8/10

Maniac - 8/10

Paura 3D - 8/10

Grabbers - 7/10

Tulpa - 7/10

Berberian Sound Studio - 7/10

V/H/S - 7/10

Tower Block - 7/10

The Seasoning House - 6/10

Nightbreed: Cabal cut - 6/10

Hidden In The Woods - 6/10

Stitches - 5/10

The Possession - 5/10

Outpost II: Black Sun - 5/10

Cockneys vs Zombies - 5/10

Dead Sushi - 5/10

3. SLEEP TIGHT
4. A night of nightmares
5.chained
6.Maniac
7. REC 3
8.THE SEASONING HOUSE
9. the nightmare factory

1. Sinister - Wasn't expecting much from this but it was genuinely scary in parts.
2. V/H/S - despite the nauseating camerawork that's always associated with found footage films it was amusing and tense in parts.
3. Maniac - I was amazed that it was as grubby and downbeat as the original.
4. Chained - A real surprise, suspenseful and disturbing.
5. Stitches - Really quite funny whilst still working as a slasher film.

Special mention for Tulpa, which was boring me shitless until about midway through whereupon I genuinely couldn't stop laughing.
