Re: sleepy queue
Gee, thanks for bringing up the PPC.
Now I've got more things to contend with and juggle...
...and spend cash on.

Re: sleepy queue
Ah, that's not bad. Where'd you get these timings from? Couldn't find them anywhere on the PCC website or their facebook page.zappa fan wrote:PPC lists as follows...
21:30 ALIEN - Directors Cut
23:46 THE THING
01:45 THE FLY
03:51 THEY LIVE
05:35 THE MIST
07:46 PREDATOR
END OF MARATHON APPROXIMATELY 08:35 29th June
I might be able to make it through all of it then. Possibly duck out before Predator though, get a better choice of seats for FrightFest that way, I guess. Maybe catch some sleep during The Mist too - I don't have any desire to watch that movie again.

Re: sleepy queue
Thanks for the heads up on the PCC all nighter. Gonna give that a go, maybe as others have said, leave before Predator to get in the queue. I'm not too bothered about what seat I end up with though so I guess I'll just see how it goes.

Re: sleepy queue
Good thing about he PCC allnighter is its cheaper than a hotel room.
Question: Are people still queuing in person to buy tickets by midday when they go on sale online?

My guess would be - the cinema is open you can buy passes. If they are still for sale. Don't painc they will be...more full event passes on sale this year.

Re: sleepy queue
I'm afraid as much as I love the event I will not be entering the sleepy queue ever.
I don't really care where I sit so I'm content to trot up when the doors open at 10am and join the back of the queue (that diverts via Egypt in length.)

Re: sleepy queue
Just out of curiosity, what time do they usually start the sleepy queue film? Obviously not until everyone has brought their tickets, but what times does that usually tend to be? Just so I have a rough time of when I will be getting the train back.

Re: sleepy queue
Tickets will continue to be on sale at the cinema once they go on sale on line. Festival passes sold out around 1.15/1.30 pm last year.

Re: sleepy queue
Well, my plan is in place...
Friday: Pace around the house until 2pm. Behold the luminescent magnificence of the fest line-up as it is announced. Go out, meet some friends, have a few beers. See "This is the End" (the appreciation of which will be bolstered by aforementioned beers)
Saturday: Staying local, so SHOULD be seeing you crazy guys just before 5am (or thereabouts). Will be slightly-annoyingly encumbered by my CPAP machine and some assorted clothes in a ruck-sack, but what can you do? *shrugs shoulders*
At least the tickets are on sale at 10:30 this year, so we'll get 30 minutes less of evil-eyes from the souvenir/ticket shop-owners!

Re: sleepy queue
I literally just checked a couple of weather sites... a bit of rain on Friday, but it looks pretty clear from about 1-2am Saturday morning and about 14'C throughout the night. I don't plan to get there until sometime between 5-6am but it should be relatively dry and warm for the hardcore all-nighters
