Mitch here, doing the roundups again. This time coming fresh from a chat with a friend that just got back from Cannes [sadly not the FrightFest guys, they're keeping tight lipped as ever]. Here are a few titles they mentioned:
Last Days On Mars
A sci-fi zombie movie. Word of mouth is pretty grand
Only Lovers Left Alive
Vampire drama with real-life-vampire (she is right) Tilda Swinton
Frankenstein's Army
Finally a trailer has dropped for this lunacy. Looks great.
We Are What We Are
Said before, backed up again here. Took Cannes by storm.
Heli
Violent revenge thriller from Mexico. Won best director.
As for a couple on the sales market, the German violent cult film Nothing Bad Can Happen
Which looks very intense, like a cross between Frontiers & Martha Marcy May Marlene.
The mentioned before but now graced with a trailer, RAZE
And lastly, 2011 FrightFest alumni Joe Begos' feature debut Almost Human
More when I hear

Based on the malfunctioning banner on the main website (no picture showing, just the file name of the picture) will The Conjuring be one of the films?
Scrap that: just noticed that it's included on the ticket sails e-mail, which won't work on my work computer. And as it's out on 03/08 presumably it's the free film for the sleepy queue.
