So I get this error message after 2.5 hours of trying buy passes:

"There has been an error with your booking and you may have been charged, please contact Customer Services on 0345 308 4620, tweet @vuehelp or email customerservices@vuemail.com"

I ring the number but it's not open on weekends!

This is the biggest farce ever.

Clicking constantly since 12.00 and still getting all kinds of errors.

Got literally stopped at every single step at least 10 times each now:

- error right after selecting the number of tickets
- got through choosing the number of tickets but no seats left (then why you still show me the seat plan???)
- suddenly found some available seats but "cannot leave a gap between seats" (my favourite)
- managed to select some seats, but "oops! server error" right after that
- got through to the payment screen but card declined (I obviously have full funding)

All of the above, in random order, with inconsistent seats availability thrown in for good.
I didn't get the one about probably being charged twice, at least (for now).

Obviously no reflection on the FF guys, apart from a nice plan B (?).

I'm back to square one getting the error messages when I try and select tickets. Fucking pathetic!

That is right. The 0345 308 4620 number is not open Saturday. Try 08712 240 240 - Just got my day passes (unfortunately I can't do the whole thing) via phone and had a friendly operator : First they processed refund of the online booking attempt where I got the "There has been an error with your booking and you may have been charged" and then I managed to book two day passes with fairly nice seats, Screen 5. I would try booking via phone to avoid the mess with credit cards being charged without confirmation. I had to wait 20 (2 quid) minutes.

Yes, I tried the phone, they don't sell weekend passes over the telephone, despite what it says on the FF website.

I have also tried since mid day. Been on the phone and website. 40 mins on the phone told cant sell VIP pass, then website kept crashing. Eventually got through booked seats and all 3 of my cards got declined. Then message saying 3d authentication error. Then got kicked out. Had to end up buying day passess for all days instead as VIP passes all sold out. which of course are far more expensive. My experience for booking tickets at Glasgow Frightfest was good, But this has left me deeply disappointed and jaded. I know its not FrightFest fault but this is extremely badly organised by Vue.

Is anybody going to tell me when can I officially stop trying to buy festival passes?

My "lessons learnt": Either queue or use the phone in order to avoid hair loss and teeth grinding. One would think I would have been smarter after trying to book gigs and other festival tickets online which were high in demand as well.

I've been trying since 12 and still haven't been able to purchase any seats.

After managing to be able to pick seats, I get payment declined error for 5 different cards, with some being debit and some being credit cards.

Each time I settled for worse and worse seats but still couldn't purchase any as I had the same payment error each time.

"Sorry your card has been declined, please check the details and try again."

After 2 and half hours I give up.

I've been getting inconsistent seats availability on all screen since an hour ago.
Also they don' t sell full weekend passes over the phone.

The 'no weekend passes over the phone' thing is ridiculous, they're supposed to be selling them according to all of the info that's been released thus far.

This was going to be my tenth consecutive year so I'm one sad bunny. I'll miss catching up with all my FF buddies. Maybe Vue will fix things, maybe more passes will be made available, but after nearly three hours I'm giving up. The guy on the phone did say that we would be able to purchase weekend passes that way "by the end of the day", but that's a bit redundant if they've sold out!

Le sigh, le sob, le wimper...... :-(

In conclusion:

I've wasted 3 hours of my time.
I've been charged multiple times for tickets I haven't got.
I've given Vue £3 for the pleasure of waiting on a phone line for information they could have given in a recorded message (no festival passes).
The customer service line is closed, so I have to pay in the 10p/min line to get my card refunded.

I'm giving up.
