Extraterrestrial

7/10 - kinda enjoyed this, but the audience reaction was lacking. Maybe the humour just didn't translate (a common problem).

I found this, my only visit to the Discovery screens, disappointing.

The whole premise of Julio and Julia being more preoccupied with their clandestine relationship than with an alien invasion was a bit hard to believe, and then when it was so easy for them to convince the other characters about possible "infiltrators".... I just couldn't buy into it. Nothing wrong with the performances or the overall tone, but it was just too uneventful and simply not funny enough.

A comedy Skyline without any action (not that I'm saying I wish it was more like Skyline).

I thought this was terrible. I tried something similar to Monsters, but that film was a low budget miracle which looked fantastic and had likeable leads. The ensuing sex farce here was uninvolving and the characters acted in ways which I found implausible and offputting.
