Truth or Dare

Micro-budget hardcore torture porn. It's mostly a single setting and the film does a good job of keeping things tight and fast-moving, with dialogue driving conflict between the characters. Production values are low and some of the acting is a bit dodgy but there's a lot of amusement and tension: me and the people around me were laughing along at the people being tortured. Also the ending was weak: it could have really benefited from a stonger and more conclusive final note to end on. Overall it's no masterpiece of film-making, but for the resources they had it's impressive. By comparison Sin City 2 must have cost thousands of times as much and wasn't as good. 5/10
