Thank you very much everyone, sorry for asking stupid questions while everyone is trying to wrestle with the website. :p

Yeah baby! Got my ticket, and the screen/seats that I wanted!
Was a knuckle chewing 50 minute wait, but it was worth it.
The "thank-you" screen was a nice touch as well.

For info - I used IE and seemed to sail through fairly easily with no real screen-locks.

BTW: Do we still get the schmancy physical passes and lanyards on the weekend? Wouldn't be the same with those ... :)

Well that was a waste of time. Got on there, picked my seats, then a little rotating wheel just sat there thinking about it for ten minutes before chucking me off with an 'error' message! So I'm back in the queue now with a 'less than an hour' wait time.

I hope so...

Surely it speeds people getting into the Main screens quicker...

Frustrating, after an hour in the queue I got through, selected tickets, clicked to add to basket and it immediately threw an exception error and I've had to start again. Oh well, I guess this is my job now...

120 fans have completed their purchases of festival and day pass so far. So please be patient, the system is working and there are heaps of tickets left.

FFS -waited an hour to get into ticket site, at which point I was able to select the seat I wanted in the screen I wanted. Site hung when I added to basket and eventually kicked me out to the back of the queue again.

Every sodding year online sales for Frightfest descend into a technical joke! Looks like I won't be able to get a ticket again this year (will be three years in a row I've been prevented from going due to online ticket sales falling over).

Check Ian's message above Commodore, you should be fine.

Grab a beer and continue to watch the orange bar.

I actually did some housework during my wait - not been this clean in ages.

It's remarkable how many different results/problems people have had already. It seems to be sheer pot luck when you get in, whether or not you get frozen or dumped out during ticket selection, or at the payment stage... my only hairy moment was when it said I'd given an invalid credit card number (I hadn't). Fortunately I had all my cards lined up in front of me just in case....

These ticketing websites never work properly, the whole process is very stressful.

I have the same thing every year with the London Film Festival, I used to do the order on my PC at work but now I take a morning off to save my colleagues from the sight of me throwing things around and screaming abuse at the computer screen.

I've still got to book that weekend off work (I know, I'm a fool).

So my drama will be if there are any passes left tomorrow night.

It's also worth mentioning that last year everyone worked tirelessly to fix the problems caused by the ticketing glitches, so I'm not panicking yet.

I agree with your sentiment - I'm trying to cling to it - but it's rough when you've been able to select your ideal tickets and then lose them! ;)

I very much doubt the type of seat I was after in the Arrow screen will still be there after another hour+ wait. There wasn't much left at the back of the screen as it was, and I've got no interest in paying close to £200 to sit in the eye bleeder seats for five days. :(

Ugh. Circley thing, then back to the end of the queue.

"LESS THAN AN HOUR". That's reassuring...

Had to wait an hour to get to the front of the queue but once I did, the ticket process was so slick.
