I'd go for Scherzo, looks good.

Final piece of advice needed - Night Fare or The Lesson?

The Lesson, in the director's own words:
I call the The Lesson the love child of Harmony Korine and Fritz Lang. It is a dark, morally challenging study of violence and anger, what I've tried to do is make the audience torn between victim and perpetrator, and those roles themselves shift throughout the film. It combines a coming of age, broken edges of rural life summer with this dark, charismatic anti hero main narrative. I've tried to create detailed, complex characters. Hopefully FrightFest fans will like a slightly different take on the horror genre, and its indie/art house feel. It is as micro budget as micro budget can be but hopefully its creative vision shines through. Hopefully!
Don't know if that helps in your decision?

I don't know, maybe - the micro budget bit is a bit off-putting, but it seems to be getting good reviews so it might be the one to go for. Irritatingly though, I can't seem to find anything about Night Fare, so I don't know whether that's going to be one to miss or a highlight of the fest.

Has anyone found a trailer for Scherzo Diabolico? Or Curve for that matter? I'm still procrastinating...

Is anyone going to the session with Barbara Crampton? I'd love to know what happened to Jessica Dollarhide from Castle Freak, as she didn't act again after that film it seems....
No tears, please. It's a waste of good suffering.

I've heard that Night Fare is a certain FF organisers pick of the festival.

I picked THE LESSON as it sounded more interesting

There's loads of potentially goods movies showing, but is anyone else going to - Graham Humphreys -Drawing Blood? I'm really looking forward to that!

Was glancing through the schedule for the 456th time, and just realised that there's only one sequel ("Contracted - Phase 2") and two remakes/updates/reboots/whatever-the-hell-you-want-to-call-them ("Rabid Dogs" & "Frankenstein").
Total mirror image of mainstream cinema.
The genre leading the way once again and concentrating on originality ... :D

I'm sure we'll see our fare share of over-familiar tropes without having to look too far!
