Will the details also be posted here? I won't get the email because a friend got my ticket for me and my friend has been having email problems lately so may not get the details either.

Thanks

Can anyone advise what is happening with the email Pass holders are expecting to receive concerning booking Discovery Screen tickets?

I've yet to receive any information.

I don't think the email will be until the weekend, so no reason to panic just yet.

would be great to at least be given some advance notification via the normal channels.

Firstly the member of our party who bought the tickets is away on Saturday so if the email only goes to him then we'll have no way of knowing what to do.

Secondly, right now I can't plan anything on Sunday until I know what's going on.....

Can't wait for Frightfest but that doesn't mean I want to give up my entire Sunday this weekend waiting to sort Disco screen tickets out....

I will be sending the email out tomorrow for a Sunday morning start. I'm sure someone will post the info here as well.

So, no Discovery tickets email yet but I see on the ticket buying link on the website it says you need you need to enter your barcode and the booking surname from 9am tomorrow to get your Discovery tickets. Really hoping this doesnt mean you can only book tickets for one barcode at a time, I want to be able to book seats next to each other for me and my other half, not risk only one of us even getting in to the Discovery screen :(

How screwed am if I've lost (well my PC died on me last night, and my saved back up isn't working) the booking email from July 4th?

What email service do you use? Can you log into the webmail version of it on your phone/tablet/someone else's PC to get the email that way?

Right...
So my email service died a couple of hours ago, which means I won't be able to see the instructions...
Not so bad you might think, as they'll surely appear on here and it seems fairly straightforward.
Well, being the utter prat that I am, I hadn't yet printed off my Festival pass or took a note of the bar-code number, as I thought that nothing untoward would happen...
And we all know what you need for the Discovery screen tickets don't we?
If they don't fix the service overnight my intended choices are probably screwed.
Couldn't. Make. It. Up.

How to get your tickets -

Step 1 - Start here https://live.advancedticketing.co.uk/k?v=frightfest

Step 2 - When the page opens you will see a box over on the right-hand side of your screen.

Under the brief instructions, you will notice two fields for information. Enter the 15 digit ticket barcode number, which can be found on your ticket in the box labeled ticket number

Step 3 - Enter the surname of the person who bought the ticket in the box labeled surname, and then log on. This can be found on your print at home ticket. You will then have access to the tickets that your pass allows.

Step 4 - Choose what you want to see and add to the basket.. - You can only get one ticket per film.

Step 5 - check out and print your tickets.

If you've bought multiple tickets, which I know many of you did, you will need to repeat the process below for each ticket. We know, it's a pain in the arse, but for the first year of doing this it's just the way it has to be. Ideally, we would have loved for you to be able to go in and book everything in one go, but it's not been possible this time round. Something we will be looking into for next year.

We are not using allocated seating for Discovery Screen films. We have given this a great deal of thought. Because tickets can only be booked one pass at a time, it would have been virtually impossible to get seats together. So what we thought was by making the seating unallocated, seating arrangements can be sorted out at the time. Not perfect, but a huge step forward on the melee that was the rush to get tickets last year on opening night. The usual rows at the front of the screens have been set aside. We will have people available in the screens to make sure you get seated correctly.

To speed things up, can I suggest that you make your mind up what films you want to see before you even go near your computer, tablet or phone. Also, make sure you have access to your print at home tickets. They contain two pieces of information required. The name of the person who purchased it and a unique barcode number.

Ian - can I give the barcode number to my other half and we book our discovery tickets at the same time on different devices?
