Estranged

Post by Alex J »

A quintessentially British old-school horror about a dysfunctional family at a manor house.A slow burner, but the sense that things "aren't right" along with moments of humour and mystery ensure the film is never dull. 7.5 / 10
No tears, please. It's a waste of good suffering.

Really enjoyed this one, the characters of the family were well done and intriguing which maintained your interest throughout. Nice twist too. 8/10

We had a good time with this one, but question the purpose of the butler.
It felt like they wanted a butler in order to fulfil the typical British country manor feel, but hadn't quite rounded him out. His minor plot roles could have been better written in elsewhere.
