A Christmas Horror Story

Post by Alex J »

A yuletide anthology to finish the day. I thought the wraparound story was the weakest and sat awkwardly with the rest - until a late plot twist that was cunningly and devastatingly brilliant. Humour provided by Shatner and also interspersed in the other tales helped keep this one ticking along whilst waiting for each of the stories to develop in parallel. 8 / 10
No tears, please. It's a waste of good suffering.

Shatner was fun, and I loved the Santa/elves story although I guessed the 'twist' early on.

The other stories didn't really amount to much, the creepy haunted school was totally by the numbers, Crampus didn't go anywhere, and the Changeling story was a great idea that was a bit squandered.

Fun and well put together though.

I really enjoyed this movie, probably more than Tales Of Halloween. One of my favourites from the Festival.

one of my fav films of the fest......much better than tales of halloween.

very polished looking production with a great opening credit sequence .....i liked all the stories and we all jumped at the beginning when that girl fell from the ceiling and everyone laughed.....best jump of the entire fest for me

very clever...i hope we get more of this and not a sequel to tales of halloween........tales of christmas anybody......aaaaarrrrrhhhhhhh !

Shatner was a hoot. The stories were so-so but the wraparound with Santa and the elves was a winner. Yeah, overall a good choice for one of the late films.

Shatner really isn't as hammy as I'd been led to believe, and gave great charisma to some of the characters he played here.
