Could someone please explain that Film4 advert?

Clap Clap?

So i had this discussion too with some others too. We concluded that the clap represents the directors board. What we got stuck on was their responses " i like it" " I see what you are trying to do" "Have you seen this? its incredible" that we couldn't work out. Maybe its that movies are free to air and not charged i don't know.

I think the clap is perhaps part of it but they are doing the interviews using one of these...
