Travel to Glasgow

Just a quick heads up that the railway line to Glasgow north of Carlisle is still going to be closed when FF Glasgow is on. So if you are travelling from London it's a change of train at Carlisle and from Birmingham its a change of train at Preston and again at Carlisle. This is only an issue if you are travelling up the West Coast and will put about 90 mins more on the journey going north.

Same issue for coming back on the Sunday after the festival but looking today there are still some reasonable prices for flights (£77 return Birmingham-Glasgow) so that may be cheaper for some.

If it changes between now and then I'll update it on here as the current estimate for the bridge repairs to be finished is the end of February but the damage caused is much worse than what they originally realised.

Kris,

Thanks for the heads up. Greg, Alan Paul and myself have tickets on the 11.30 am London Euston to Glasgow train on the 25th, so it looks like we are in for a long day. We were due in around 4 pm so we should still be in time for 9.00 pm Forest screening all going well.

Are many people going from outside of Glasgow?

The lineup this year just seemed too good to miss this time round.

Pity about Cell
