The Barge People

Post by Alex J » Mon Aug 26, 2019 11:57 pm

A low budget British horror that proudly displays its Halloween influences. The limitations of the project do show at times (e.g. variable acting and effects etc) with some of the action scenes suffering in particular (e.g. in a stabbing the knife clearly misses the victim).

With the negatives out of the way, I can say the plot is good enough for this kind of film, the Barge People are an interesting and effective creation, there are some very nice shots and the soundtrack works really well. 6 / 10
No tears, please. It's a waste of good suffering.
