Hmm, I really liked it. Although I love any film with bad kids in it.

Although, as that's the twist - there's not really any need for the original poster to wwatch it! :)

Manhunt from last years Frightfest was very good in my opinion and can be bought for £3.99 from HMV online apparently. Actually, I think I might buy a copy of that for me...

The Nest- is an absolutely brilliant french film, and much better than the Assault on Precinct 13 remake, a must see for any fans of Carpenter's original.
13 (tzameti)- (no Carpenter connection) is intense in a completely different way.
36- is a pretty good and bleak police/crime thriller
4- is a strangely nightmarish russian film

other good european films (with titles that aren't just numbers) would include:
Frostbite
Green Butchers
Taxidermia
Tattoo
Eden Log

I hope it was just european films you were after, any list of asian films worth checking out would get too long too quickly.

I've not seen King of the Hill- but guess i needn't bother now. I'm too new to get nowty with people who've been around much longer, and it wasn't me asking for reccomendations so i'd be a twat to get too indignant.
But i'm guessing if someone asks for reccomendations they're after film titles or a brief abstract/outline, not complete stories and their endings.
Oh bollocks, i already sound like a condascending arse, i knew starting that paragraph was a mistake.

Oh wait... what's that really good film where you dont realise Kevin Spacey was the bad guy all along?

Agreed with the Chrysalis recommendation - also on a sci-fi lilt, would suggest Time Crimes if you've not seen it already?

Grindhouse has a point here, i didn't enjoy Eden Log as much as i wanted to, i thought it might just be me and i might get more from a second viewing, for this reason the dvd's near the top of my stacks and crept on to the tail end of my list.

I stand by the others though, particularly Frostbite and Green Butchers, and The Nest is fantastic.

I finally watched my dvd of Manhunt.
There is nothing radical or new about the format or plot, and it all unfolds as you expect it to, but the execution is superb.
Well worth a watch, can't believe i sat on it for so long!

Eden Log cleverly done with a small budget but it just leads nowhere and the conclusion isnt as good as it wants to be,its 90 mins of folks clambering around a smokefilled dark warehouse with no sense of peril just confusion.
Imagine eden log with the lights up a mess of pipes and tubing.

What do people think of Dobermann?
I know it splits oppinions and many people think it piss poor, noisy, childish, bravura.
I really like it, as long as you don't take it too seriously, its great fun.

Glad i'm not alone in the Dobermann fan club- but almost any film with a hand grenade in a bible is guaranteed a sympathetic viewing from me.

If we're looking at full on OTT violent madness then my best recommendation would have to be the weird Spanish Schlock that is:
ACCION MUTANTE

Another decent trad French horror is: Deep in the Woods
