Bought this on Monday. Just can't get into it. Their awesome/average album rotation seems to be continuing even in their reformation. Its certainly more Blizzard Beasts than Battles In The North.

Love Phoenix! They are on our playlist at work and are just brilliant! I knew I had heard them somewhere before too - Shallow Hal soundtrack from way back in the day! :-)
Fantastic album, it's my favorite album of the year and it's one of the best pop album's ever!

The two albums I'm listening to at the minute are

The Big Pink - A Brief History of Love
Wild Beasts - Two Dancers

Oh, and I've been listening to The Berzerkers cover of TATU's 'All the things she said'... it's a classic.

A loop of the sound of heavy rain (only thing that soothes a noisy baby, apparently!)

Been listening a lot to Tindersticks and The Flaming Stars again lately, am rediscovering music I'd forgotten about.

My new, expanded Spotify playlist. New entries include The Crystals, Bjork (Play Dead), The Carpenters, bits of the GI Joe score, Katie Melua, James Last, Celine Dion, Richard Cheese (crikey - there's something about taking a Slipknot song full of howling obscenities* and performing it as a Vegas lounge number), Spike Jones And His City Slickers, Sinitta and the overture to Die Meistersinger Von Nurnberg. Now up to 66 tracks. Need to find more Tchaikovsky, disco instrumentals and obscure cover versions of 70s movie themes.

I was never been able to type and listen to some music! I would feel that it is some kind of degradation of the music, to put it in the second place.
So, with me, it is, eather the music or just typing or doing the folding of clothing or staring into the wall and wondering: "Was that wall further from me last week than today? And why is it so green all of the sudden? A who is that little man sitting there?"
Have a lovely day
