The two drunk guys had been poking fun at the fellas girlfriend throughout the three films. Implying she was a fatty... offering her food and what not.

Rather than swap seats with his girl though after the first film to get between the trouble he decided to lay into the bloke with her in the middle... gentleman!

That's the story we got when we acquired the violent row the following day.

Mind you quite a few drunks got kicked out after that. Even the docile ones that were enjoying the films in a drunken haze. Which I think is perfectly fine...

Not true when it came to the actual fight. The girl was sat to the fighters right and the guy he started punching was on his left. She wasnt caught in the middle. Perhaps talk of a girl getting caught is refering to the usherette who was in the way when one of the men got shoved.

The two antagonists (the worst of which had already been ejected pre fight it seems) were truly obnoxious all night and clearly had come looking to start something with someone.

Ahhh from where I was sat it looked like the girl was in the middle as there were a lot of screams.

All I saw from the far left of the screen was an elbow and fist in the air coming down. The couple on our side of the row got up quick smart.

I'm just glad it wasn't FF regulars, at least I don't think it was :)

Doesn't matter if they were FF regulars or not, its shit having to sit next to rude pricks who ruin everything and no one should have to put up with it. The poor girl was in tears.

After the guys had been ejected and one made his way back to his seat when the film started, all I noticed was him eating crisps really loudly and crunching them purposely in the guys ear. He was also trying to talk to him and I think still bait his g/f.

Then if it's been going on a while you get an usher/organiser to deal with it. Someone obviously complained about one of them but I suppose cause they other guy came back in when the film had actually started the ushers didn't spot him.

I just don't get cinema goers any more. Went to see something in hoddesdon a couple of months back and everyone seemed to be doing something other than watching the actual film... DOH!

:(

Bah it was a silly incident and by all accounts the guy got a good kicking and a nice little jaunt to central booking :D

They had done that too, hence why the guys were thrown out before Stag Night began.....

Definitely NOT regulars - I'd never seen them before, nor had any other regular FFers I know... as Ghouldrool says, you could tell those lads were gonna cause trouble, and unfortunately they picked on a bloke with a short fuse (and IMO a bit of a temper himself) which resulted in a mini-scrap - rather annoying for the director of Stag Night no doubt!

It was a shame as it was his directorial debut :( most annoying.

Ah well you live and learn :) Hopefully it was a one off. This is why I'm a T-totaler, I say enough stupid things while in charge of my senses. Imagine how offensive I could be when urrrr lubricated

Very true.

It's a shame a few people just choose to behave like nobs and it's not what I ever wanna see at FF events to be honest with ya.

It seems the beer was getting a good hammering from the off with a few people too, on the first night I clocked a certain individual darting off to the toilet on a regular basis. I'm just glad I wasn't sat next to them.

Am I wrong for actually trying to be a considerate person to sit next to at events or for thinking before I do something "am i disturbing others by doing this?"

What solutions do people think there is to this?

Making events members only for example could then exclude new people or guests who may only ever go as a one off who can behave themselves? The main event already has a set of rules which most people do abide by usually.

That said on a more positive note there seemed to be less playing about on mobiles during films and a lot less chatting too.

I think members only is a bit extreme, that's the 3rd year i've been and the first trouble i've clocked.
We should have got Tim Sullivan in there to kick ass, and possibly chew bubblegum. Least the staff handled it well. (or so I got the impression).

Saying that, went to see The Crazies last night at the Glasgow Cineworld and two loud bams up the back were escorted out after talking loudly on the phone/shouting at people who were trying to shut her up, for a good third of the film. On the way out, someone hurled a drink over one of them, and she then fell down the stairs. It's great when justice is served.

Aww, you make me nostalgic for my time working security in the big cineworld in Glasgow. i used to love a good kick out. all the better if they cause some trouble outside the screen(i hated to upset other people's enjoyment of the film). The secret is getting them out before the trouble starts and if you cant do that you need to deal with things quietly and quickly.

Punchy should have been kicked out as well but not at the same time as the drunk that would have just encouraged a fight outside. i felt sorry for the woman, no one should have to put up with what she put up with.

The stupidest bit with the 2 drunks was when they kept giving Tim Sullivan the finger during his q and a and then went up for signed posters and told him they loved the film. They were wrecked when they arrived on Friday shame it took over 2 films for them to get kicked out.

I bowed out before Stag Night on Friday as i barely made it to the GFT for Frozen and didn't want to turn up at on thirty in the morning to the friend who was kindly putting me up. Even so I can't believe I missed the build up to this as it sounds like it kicked off a few rows in front of where I was sat. The more I hear about it, the less funny it sounds.
