Okay, my apologies for mangling one amazing and oft-repeated line from the Machete Maidens Unleashed documentary.
What did you think to it and are you generally a documentary fan?

Not a fan of watching documentaries on the big screen. Would rather watch documentaries about things I am interested in on DVD or TV
Thanks for the ride, sir.

Yeah I'm with maxmum I'd rather have narrative films at FF. Let's face it this was barely about horror but it is good for all that. I like Not Quite Hollywood better. Could have squeezed something else in here I think.

Good but would have prefered another film in its place

Did you see it at GFF and if so what did you think?

Hi Karen, Yes I saw it at Glasgow Frightfest.
It was moderately enjoyable but nothing I would watch 'on purpose' if you would...I have not seen any of the movies that the documentary was about, and am not really interested in them either. It was an average documentary that we have seen many of before. The only reason I saw it was because it was part of the weekend pass schedule. I would never ever have paid to see this in a cinema otherwise.

A film would have been better suited here

An entertaining look at the Filipino film industry from the '60s to the early '80s. The documentary covers the horror, sci-fi, exploitation, action and war genres. I preferred the first half of the doc to the second, although it was good to see Apocalyse Now featured alongside the lesser known grindhouse fare. 7 / 10
No tears, please. It's a waste of good suffering.

What do you think would have made the documentary a a better fit? Different timing etc?Kris wrote:A film would have been better suited here
