I think See No Evil 2 would be a strong choice given the popularity of the Soskas with the FF crowd.

With four screens to pick from there's almost certain to be something good in every screening slot so we'll be able to tailor our ideal line-ups. I haven't been keeping up with what's new (beyond reading Alan Jones' postcards from Berlin) so I wouldn't know where to start nominating films. Just hoping they ease up on the found footage!

This is what excites me most about the potential new incarnation of the festival. Brings it very much in line with a lot of the other US genre festivals. As for the new titles, Richard, I'd reccomend having a peek at the SXSW Midnighters lineup & Cannes XYZ Films slate for a taste of what we could have.streetrw wrote: we'll be able to tailor our ideal line-ups.

To some extent I like to be surprised and know as little as possible about the films beyond the very basics. Besides, last year some were disappointed that Green Inferno, Strange Colour Of Your Body's Tears and Grand Piano among others didn't show up as expected. And I'm still itching to see two of those (not so much Green Inferno, but I'll happily see it if/when it comes around).scoutthehorizon wrote:This is what excites me most about the potential new incarnation of the festival. Not to plug my own incessant ramblings, but my thoughts on the absurdly spectacular and wholly enjoyable GRAND PIANO can be seen here. I know it'll be almost a year past it's UK premiere at LFF but it would be a delight to host a preview of this should the lineup allow as it would would go down a storm with the FF aud'.

I'd mark even more if Kane could turned up.DJBenz wrote:I think See No Evil 2 would be a strong choice given the popularity of the Soskas with the FF crowd.

As fun as they can be, I'm done with Nazi Zombies for 2014
I'd love to see The Babadook at a genre festival but I suspect it'll be long out by the time FF2014 rolls around.
I can't think of anything off the top of my head which is in the upcoming list that I'd be desperate to see at FF. But I've loved, in the past, little gems like Berberian Sound Studio and Sleep Tight. Both of those were unexpected and excellent, though not typically 'horror'. More of things like that please

Agreed, The Babadook looks right up my alley.thatcambridgebird wrote:I'd love to see The Babadook at a genre festival but I suspect it'll be long out by the time FF2014 rolls around.
Do we reckon there's any chance of the Poltergeist remake showing? I know I know, another bloody remake, but the cast looks killer so my hopes aren't as low as usual. Plus Sam Raimi's on board.
Hoping for Killers by Timo Tjahjanto, obviously, but don't know if it'll hand around that long.
And reasonably interested in horror-com Cooties, but that might have more to do with Elijah Wood...

Killers was shown at Glasgow.
Haven't seen any photos for Poltergeist yet, I'd expect a trailer to be shown at FF2014.
Something is happening on the 1st of April tba; could be The Babadook?
Cooties is possible.
and maybe Human Centipede III?
