Re: Sleepy Queue 2014 Discussion (Split from Q&A Thread)
I'm getting increasingly paranoid as time draws close to 28th June.
I know I keep wittering on about it, but this will be the first time since 2005 that I won't be in the sleepy queue for various reasons (one of which was that bloody pigeon dropping dead out of a clear blue sky right at my feet last year... I reckon that was an omen!)
Frankly with all the talk about increased queue size (which we've all seen grow immensely in the last few years), less seats, Vue being dubious with the online booking, a 2 hour gap between you brave queue-meisters grabbing tickets and online access, and the changing booking system... I'm chewing my nails down to my elbows!
Can somebody just pat my head, or feed me a bonio or something, just to calm me down? ... or even say "Yes. You probably will still get a ticket if you're prompt online". Would be much appreciated. Ta.

"smoke this...." better? I sure you'll be just fine getting a ticket online. Just do what I normally would start checking the VUE website from 10am. Get to know the booking pages etc. And keep hitting re-fresh. Plus also keep an eye on the forum and twitter. Maybe keep the booking phone to hand too.
I remember that pigeon just dropping out of the sky, not the first time I've seen this happen. Spooky, but then that's FrightFest.

Re: Sleepy Queue 2014 Discussion (Split from Q&A Thread)
Indeed Wulfster.
I'm getting into London for about 1730 on the Friday evening.
I'm sure I'll be on edge from when the FF twitter feed first broadcasts when the first people starts to queue.
But having said that, I'm not going to join the queue right away. I figure a few beers and then join with about 12 hours.
12 hours - what a nonsense.
Of course, if you want to rely on the good will of strangers and your paranoia gets the best of you, I can get you ticket if you want.
Assuming by blase attitude about queuing only 12 hours before they go on sale doesn't mean I miss out too.

(and thanks for the offer Duke)
I've used the VUE site before, but I'll be hovering around the keyboard an hour or so before the flood-gates open.
Need to confirm numbers and definite dates.
Anyway, fingers crossed for your good selves and all the faithful, and here's hoping we all get something approximating what we want.
Thanks guys.
P.S. That pigeon WAS freaking weird...

I hope we get lucky with the weather.
Don't need lightening as a cause of yet more pigeons landing next to the queue.

Can anybody confirm if Scotty will actually be encouraged or authorised (whether officially by the ff boys or by more informal ff family consensus) to "police" the sleepy queue as I understand he has on previous occasions?
I know Scott is a longtime frightfest veteran with a lot of friends at the fest, but he doesn't get along with everybody, and some may be discouraged from attending if he is acting as steward.

Two really good choices. Green Inferno?

dont want purge 2 or deliver..
green inferno or babadook would be good, more the latter of course.

Just out of curioisity - when the queue moves from the bottom to the top, how do people know where they were in the queue and what time does this transitional migration take place?

Like a big zombie trek.
Be interesting to see how the queue forms outside a new cinema.
Scotty will control all I'm sure (troll, troll, troll).
