We are not using allocated seating for Discovery Screen films. We have given this a great deal of thought. Because tickets can only be booked one pass at a time, it would have been virtually impossible to get seats together. So what we thought was by making the seating unallocated, seating arrangements can be sorted out at the time. Not perfect, but a huge step forward on the melee that was the rush to get tickets last year on opening night. The usual rows at the front of the screens have been set aside. We will have people available in the screens to make sure you get seated correctly.
Is unallocated seating just for pass holders? I am not a pass holder and I booked single disco tickets a while back and picked seats, I will still have those seats right?
Also as it's not really been mentioned the Prince Charles Cinema Screen, that will be at the Vue or The PCC?

I'm not sure either, it kind of sounds like they are utilising the PCC?

Just sorting my list now to book for the morning. Weird one this year I've never even thought of booking so many alternate screenings to the main screen before. I like to just have my little home seat for the weekend and have done with it usually! Might be some tooing and froing!

What's the score if I book another screen and the alternative movie is rubbish? Can I go back to my main screen seat or is it sold on?
Thanks for the ride, sir.

I'm 99.99% positive you can go back to your own seat. It's your seat. Walking out of a rubbish main screen and into a disco film would be frowned upon though.

That's good. Don't really care about frowning - but of course I will be respectful of others.
Thanks for the ride, sir.

I bought my ticket from someone who got 2 lots for Film4 screen when my group couldn't get any - so I need to put in the name of the person that is on the ticket obviously - however in the instructions it says 'Put in the surname of the person on the ticket then log in' - I didn't log in to purchase the ticket in the first place... do I need their login or do I need to be setting up a log in for something at this point?
Thanks for the ride, sir.

Each individual ticket has the unique barcode 15-digit number, that should distinguish the seat holder rather than the surname which is just who bought the tickets.

^^^

ergo that is all you need to log-in to get Disco tickets specific to your seat.

And I just hit back on my browser - rookie mistake.

Given the "estimated queue waiting time" at the moment, this feels just like a virtual version of the mad rush to get Discovery tickets on the opening day from last year ....

I missed all that, and the queue in the morning - think I only missed one film when all is said and done.

Just doing this now to get it out of the way, should never be up this early on a Sunday.

No pleasing some people - ha ha

I got all the ones i wanted by 9.05am so I am a very happy shopper now! Has made up for my bad luck in not being able to get a festival pass in the same screen as my friends.

NOW, I am finally excited about FF.

Good luck to everyone else, hope you've got/getting the tix you want

I too got the tickets that I wanted. I was scared that the wheel of death might return, but all was fine and straightforward. A much better system. Cheers guys!

Pretty painless process, all three of my party managed to secure their disco screen tickets.

Tips.

Surname is case sensitive.
Use Firefox.
Don't hit the back button, use the links like DAY and FILMS to navigate.

Worked nicely.

That's good.

My mate's in before me - he says you have to choose specific seats?
