Don't Breathe

New Fede Alvarez (director of evil dead remake) got great reviews from SXSW and is out August 26th weekend so maybe it'll be shown on the 25th as an opener?

She who must burn -uncomfortable movie from what I gather regarding religion and a nurse working at an abortion clinic. What could possibly happen?

hush - The new one from the director of Oculus. About a deaf woman terrorised in her house.

OwlCat the movie - One can hope ;0) (for those that saw Patchwork in Glasgow

As previous: hits Netflix on 8th April so could be 'old news' by the time FF comes around.

Yeah think it'll be a bit too far behind by then.

Surely DON'T BREATHE is nailed on for opening night? Released 26th August, opening night for Frightfest is the 25th. It seems to the the 'golden child' this year. Usually there is at least one film each year that get super hyped up and this seems to be it.

I'd pretty much put my mortgage on it being in the lineup!

Think something similar happened with YOU'RE NEXT a couple of years ago, it had a lot of early hype, was going to be released in the UK on 28th August 2013 and was shown at Frightfest on opening night on the 22nd a few days before.

Saban Films has acquired North American rights to Rob Zombie’s horror thriller "31". Sheri Moon Zombie and Malcolm McDowell star in the pic, and Saban is giving 31 a September 16 limited theatrical release.

Under the Shadow please!

Supposed to be hella scary and the 'next big thing in horror' etc etc.

But the premise of a haunting in Tehran sounds intriguing and good reviews from Sundance and on IMDB.

I second this. Lots of good reviews, and the type of film that will take forever for a UK release so hopefully Frightfest can get their hands on it for August.

I mentioned this one on the last page but here is the teaser for Adam Wingard's THE WOODS - released Sept 16th, nicely timed for Frightfest!
