No postcards from Cannes this year, but I've done a round-up of some of the films doing the rounds at Cannes and Tribeca that haven't been mentioned above:

THE BIG HITTERS

The Killing of a Sacred Deer - Yorgos Lanthimos' latest, starring Colin Farrell as a heart surgeon who befriends a sinister teenager and Nicole Kidman as his wife. Playing in competition. It would be great to see but will almost certainly be high on the list for the London Film Festival.
Sicilian Ghost Story - Fairy-tale horror plays out against a scenario of a mafia kidnapping in a theme that sounds close to Pan's Labyrinth. Playing as part of Critics' Week. Again looks more like it would go to the London Film Festival.
The Villainess - Korean revenge thriller that played the Midnight screenings at Cannes and was praised for its intense and sustained action scenes.
L'Amant Double - Psychosexual thriller from François Ozon. A model begins one relationship with her therapist and then another with his diabolical twin brother that begins to spiral into increasingly perverse rape fantasies and sado-masochism.
Blade of the Immortal - Takashi Miike's 100th film. A samurai cursed with immortality seeks redemption by slaughtering his way through an evil clan of samurai.
Under the Silver Lake - David Robert Mitchell's follow-up to It Follows. Andrew Garfield and Riley Keough star in a neo-noir crime thriller set in LA.

THE MORE HIGH PROFILE

Tilt - A pregnant woman grows suspicious of her husband's frequent night-time excursions and increasingly unhinged behaviour.
Psychopaths - Mickey Keating (Pod) directs. Over the course of a single night multiple serial killers battle for supremacy.
What the Waters Left Behind - The Onetti Brothers (who directed Francesa which was on the Discovery Screen last year) return with a Texas Chain Massacre-style slasher about a group of young documentary-makers who head out to some old ruins where their paths cross with a group of psycho killers.
Super Dark Times - Two teenage boys cover up a gruesome accident, but the secret causes them to become increasingly paranoid and violent towards each other.
The Changeover - A young girl in New Zealand seeks the help of a witch (Lucy Lawless) to fight a vampire antique dealer (Timothy Spall) with designs on her brother.
The Third Wave - Ellen Page is a member of a society trying to rebuild itself after a zombie apocalypse.
The Crucifixion - Xavier Gens directs a film from the writers of The Conjuring. A journalist investigating the death of a nun comes to believe that the nun was possessed by a demon.
Devil's Gate - An FBI agent comes to a North Dakota farm to investigate the disappearance of Milo Ventimiglia's wife and son and discovers the horrors he has locked in his basement.
Sweet Virginia - A modern Western in which an ageing rodeo star must confront the fact that his young friend may be responsible for a wave of violence in his town.
My Friend Dahmer - The life of Jeffrey Dahmer when he was a teenager.

NOT SO HIGH PROFILE BUT SOUND LIKE SOMETHING FRIGHTFEST WOULD PLAY

Peripheral - We still haven't had Heretiks yet, but Paul Hyett has another film ready. This one has Hannah Arterton as a novelist who finds herself being manipulated and controlled by her word processing software.
Demon Hole - Horror comedy about a fracking crew working on Native American land who release a demon that attacks a group of teens staying at a cabin in the woods.
Calibre - Two men go on a hunting trip into the Scottish Highlands where they end up fighting for survival against vengeful locals.
The Shrine - Anthony Hickox (Waxwork, Hellraiser 3) returns to directing horror. A military team investigate the aftermath of a US drone strike on a mosque which has accidentally released Satan.
Radius - Canadian sci-fi. After a car crash, Liam wakes up with amnesia and finds that anybody who comes within 50 feet of him dies instantly.
Selfie From Hell - A vlogger discovers some sort of evil selfies.
Mules - Nordic noir from Iceland. Antihero Erik's plot to smuggle cocaine into Iceland goes awry and he finds himself having to kill increasing numbers of people.
Keepers - Gerard Butler plays one of three lighthouse keepers on a Scottish island who descend into greed-fuelled paranoia as they stuggle for possession of a life-changing discovery.
Possum - Matthew Holness (Darkplace) writes and directs the story of a puppeteer who returns home to confront his wicked stepfather and supernatural puppets.
Ghosts of War - Towards the end of World War II, five soldies are assigned to hold a French chateau formerly occupied by Nazi high command, only to find it to be full of demons. Billy Zane is one of the soldiers.
The Endless - Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead's follow-up to Resolution. Two brothers return to their former home and find themselves being drawn back into the cult they escaped when they were younger.
Griffin's Ghost - Eduardo Sanchez is back with the story of a couple who purchase a haunted house and then realise they must make an alliance with the ghosts.
Who's Watching Oliver - A serial killer finds that a beautiful woman may offer him a way out from his life of aimless killing.

THE REST

A Vigilante - Olivia Wilde helps domestic violence victims get bloody revenge on their abusers.
The Hole In The Ground - Irish film about a mother who becomes convinced that a creature has come from a out of a sinkhole to transform her son.
Jackals - Directed by Kevin Greutert (Saw 6 & 7). Sometime in the eighties, Stephen Dorff and his family find themselves under siege by a murderous cult.
Looking Glass - Nicolas Cage's latest effort in which he plays a man who purchases a haunted motel in the desert.
Rendel - The first Finnish superhero movie and also the first superhero movie co-funder by a tractor manufacturer. Rendel is a dark superhero who seeks vengeance on an evil corporation using his high-tech tractor.
Bethany - A woman finds herself haunted by memories of her abusive mother (Shannen Doherty) and her childhood imaginary friend who may not be so imaginary after all. Tom Green (yes, that one) plays her therapist
Mr. Long - A lethal Taiwanese hitman gives up his life of violence to open a noodle store in a Japanese village. Reviews have commented on the film's constant shifts between bleak violence and whimsical comedy.
Bloodrunners - Set in Prohibition America, a group of vampires use a speakeasy as a cover to smuggle blood. Ice-T is heavily featured on the promotional material but it doesn't sound like he's in the film much.
Living Among Us - Found Footage about a family of vampires (led by William Sadler) who come under attack from the human world.
Bad Samaritan - Dean Devlin (producer of lots of Roland Emmerich blockbusters) directs David Tennant and Kerry Condon in a film about a pair of burglars who discover a woman trapped in a house they are robbing and then find her captor has turned the tables on them. It sounds like almost the exact same plot as Don't Breathe.
The Wanting - Adam Brody (Jennifer’s Body) and Amanda Crew (Final Destination 3) are a perfect couple who are tormented by a satanic presence.
Slumber - Maggie Q is a sleep doctor who finds a case of sleep paralysis is being caused by demon.
Dead Awake - A woman investigating a plague of sleep paralysis finds out that they are being caused by a demon. Yes, it's the same premise as the previous one.
Serpent - A couple become trapped in a tent with a poisonous snake.
The Temple - US horror set in Japan, about teens going to an ancient temple to be bumped off.
Polaroid - A high school girl discovers a camera that causes everyone who has their photo taken to die.
Dark Show - A psychopath dressed as a Knight Templar slaughters the participants of a reality TV show.
I Kill Giants - Zoe Saldana and Imogen Poots help a young girl fighting monsters.
Flay - After the death of her mother, an estranged daughter struggles to save her brother, and those around her from a monster that looks like the Slender Man.
Landing Lake - UK sci-fi horror. A group of satellite technicians and an airplane crew come across a mountain lake where a an ancient alien entity is beginning to awake.
The Mimic - Korean mystery-horror. A woman takes in a mysterious lost girl and strange occurrences begin to plague her family.
The Lost Case - Thai found footage about ghost hunters who encounter genuine supernatural events.
Awaken the Shadowman - Two brothers uncover a cult who can summon the sinister shadowman.
The School - Australian horror. Surgeon Amy who becomes trapped in a hellish purgatory that resembles a school.
Phoenix Forgotten - Found footage of three teens who get abducted by aliens.
Zombillenium - Animated feature set in a Halloween theme park run by real monsters from which an enslaved human tries to escape. Looks like it might be aimed at too young an audience for Frightfest.
My Haunted House - Feature animation about a boy who lives with an embarrassing family of monsters. Again sounds like it may be aimed at too young an audience for Frightfest.

Out of all of the films you listed, these are the only two that appeal to me personally. RADIUS sounds very intriguing and CALIBRE sounds like it would be similar to Eden Lake and A Lonely Place to Die, which I enjoyed.

To be honest so long as we get tickets we are not bothered by the smaller screen size, we are happy its back at the Empire. it will be interesting to see what happens.

Could IT COMES AT NIGHT be in line for FF? US release date is 9th June and no UK release date confirmed. Getting lots of good reviews. Even if a UK release date isn't confirmed by then, or is a long way off, I can't see why a special advance screening wouldn't be possible unless it was going to be shown at LFF.

Seeing as they still don't know when to release it, they should give us a peek at the new Amityville by the Maniac remake director...
‘Amityville: The Awakening’ Moves Off Summer Schedule

Weinstein Co. and Dimension Films’ is moving Blumhouse’s Amityville: The Awakening off its June 30 release to a date to be determined.

The Bella Thorne-Jennifer Jason Leigh horror series installment directed by Franck Khalfoun has been moved around the calendar a few times. Prior to June 30, the movie was slotted for Jan. 6. Prior to that, Amityville was scheduled for April 1 last year, and going back a bit further, the pic was also scheduled for April 15, 2016.

Seen it in recent times. Sorry it doesn't hold up. Time has not been kind to it.

I can think of plenty of other titles that could do with a remake. I am however amazed that Colin Farrell is not in Flatliners. He loves remakes.

The trailer for Happy Death Day was released yesterday:

Slated for October 13th release in the US. A light-hearted one, sort of a Groundhog Day/Source Code meets Scream.
