A triumphant return to Frightfest for Dario Argento with a neo-giallo that has a really strong opening act. The middle is more about consequences and relationships, but then returns to its giallo origins including a chase sequence in the third act with a satisfying ending. The score is interesting - early on it's like Carpenter meets Goblin, before transitioning to more modern beats later on that are still effective.

We enjoyed it.
Sure he's done better films but this one is not in that category. I read a couple of mainstream reviews that seemed to be written by people who've never seen an Argento film.
And one even criticised the dog!!!
