Decent Sequel.
Strong opening scene.
Mid-section is a homage to Spielberg's Duel!
Strange quiz show finale.
The recitation of ballads includes a Rolf Harris classic.
I'm a dual citizen (Brit & Aussie) with divided loyalties. The relentless pommy-bashing script can upset me more than the torture porn.
I used to live in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, and would occasionally bump into actor John Jarratt and his then wife Noni Hazelhurst.
They presented a popular tv show Better Homes & Gardens.
Jarratt's transformation from affable ocker to murderous screen villain is a miraculous achievement.
By the way, the Wolf Creek story is fictional and is not based on real events.
Wolf Creek 2
Re: Wolf Creek 2
This was great. It was kind of like moving from Alien to Aliens - a tense creepy original, replaced by a bigger all action sequel ! The pop-quiz scene seemed a bit out of place but also produced one of my favourite lines of the weekend: "Who is Australia's most famous ever cricketer?...and don't say Shane f**king Warne !"
