Exactly. Ask him why he felt he needed to include that last scene with the mother and didn't just cut to black after they ran her over.Spencer wrote: did he feel pressured to give it the happy ending? I am assuming it was an indie production so no studio interference .....
The Loved Ones

Re: The Loved Ones
***Spoilers***
I had no problem with the ending, just sad that Mia had lost both her brother and her dad! Certainly well worth staying up for this little gem, a great combination of humour, cringe-inducing moments and with plenty of charm. One of the best of the fest. 8.5 / 10

No tears, please. It's a waste of good suffering.

Re: The Loved Ones
Excellent one of the best of the festival. Funny, slatterific good fun. Great performances, from the lad who got kidnapped as well considering he couldn't talk for most of it. Gore was very well done, pacing excellent and just what was needed after so much slow burn stuff.
Thanks for the ride, sir.

Great Interview, thanks a lot! I'm happy to see that at least they thought about the cut to black ending although I don't really agree with his arguments on why they didn't do it, it still just feels tacked on but well, it's his moviesoulmining wrote:Here you go, my interview with Sean Byrne - and I did ask him about the ending for you!
