Frightfest 2014 Coverage
Frightfest 2014 Coverage
I'm sure we've had a thread like this in previous years. Anyway, post 'em if you got 'em. If you're blogging, running or writing for a site or just want to share a link to a cool article about Frightfest you found online.
Re: Frightfest 2014 Coverage
Hello! I'll be doing lots of film reviews and coverage for the horror/sci-fi website Daily Dead, which should start going up from day one of the festival ( http://www.dailydead.com) There's a lot of films I can't wait to see/write about this year =)
Also, in terms of random coverage, this is from last year, but I really like this piece on FrightFest by Anne Billson, thought it was a really lovely article that sums up everything I love about the festival (I'm currently interning/temping at The Telegraph, so I'm a bit biased! But it's a great piece)

Britflicks Frightfest preview podcasts
Hey guys ... I've been busy speaking to as many frightfest film makers as I can for my series of preview podcasts
Already released - Individual shows covering: Blood Moon, The Mirror, Extinction, The Forgotten, The Harvest, The Canal and The Samurai ... more to come about: Faults, Xmoor and Sleeping Room https://soundcloud.com/stuart-wright-3
Or find britflicks.com on iTunes and subscribe to receive them automatically
This is only the second year I've done the preview podcasts and it's a real labour of love. So would love to know what Frightfesters think.

Re: Frightfest 2014 Coverage
Liked your coverage leytonrocks - great podcasts too! What recording equipment did you use out of interest - sounded like a studio.
One thing - and not a criticism - you've got an extraneous "L" in Paul McEvoy's name in your Day 1 coverage.

Re: Frightfest 2014 Coverage
There's always one typo and it's always a person's name DOH! ... I'll get that fixed
Thank you for positive feedback on the podcast... I have a Macbook Pro and the most up to date Garageband. I record Skype called directly into Garageband using Soundflower and Line In apps to trick the computer into creating two channels within the computer - lord know how this works but it does.
I then use the Condensed Microphone filter in Garageband to take the edge off the voices
I'm glad it sounds so good... my office is in a quiet part of east London so that helps too
Onwards and upwards
