Thanks for persevering. We are serious looking at August's ticketing to try and get round the issues that have dogged us frankly from the beginning. We will keep everyone in the loop with our plans.

Yep, since they were the most helpful part of the entire process I rang the box office back, and they cancelled the superfluous ticket. For an awful moment I thought I might have to find someone to go with, and I don't like anybody I know that much.

I always queue for London for the pure simplicity of it, even allowing for the lengthy round trip plus minor inconveniences and I'd happily queue for this too. I reckon a Glasgow version in January would quickly sort out who really wants a pass :green:.

Thankfully I was paid early and got 2 passes (me & my pal) but I'm still £140 down for the time being.

Just thinking, but what if we took the ticketing to say Eventbright who have the server power to handle 600 FrightFesters all wanting tickets at the same time. Any thoughts on this anyone?

I'd certainly like that. Eventbrite doesn't seem to allow people to handpick their seats from a seating plan (though other options do), and I think that's something that is important to a lot of Frightfesters. Ticketing is an increasingly large hassle every year, and the ticketing systems used by the venues just aren't set up to handle it, whatever their assurances.

If eventbrite can be used to pick seats then it is fine by me.

As long as it isn't ticketmaster...

Your tickets are £170, booking fees are £17. How would you like to receive your ticket, post or post? cos that is an extra £2.75. Would you like to insure your ticket as we cant guarantee you will receive it despite paying for post and there are no refunds if tickets are lost.

Ha ha.

For an additional £5 would you also like to insure your tickets in case the event is cancelled?

If you don't want them posted, then an additional £2 means you can pick your tickets up from the box office, or e-tickets for £1.50.

TicketMaster - the legitimate ticket touts.

Glad to hear it.

Out of interest, has anyone had their money for tickets taken out yet - I've not.

Good, mine has gone out too.

How odd to be cheering so much cash leaving my account.

Roll on February.

Any word yet on guests for Glasgow?? :geek:

Haven't heard of most of the films this year - what's everyone most looking forward to?
