Under the Shadow
9/10. Film of the festival for me. So good it inspired me to make my first post. Wonderful performances, especially by the child lead. Superbly balanced development, tension and mercifully limited jump scares.
Re: Under the Shadow
Also my festival favourite. Immense atmosphere and superb acting. In line with "Babadook" and "It follows" in terms of quality and meaning.

Re: Under the Shadow
Felt like this should have been on the main screen. Understated, subtle and full of tension. The ending was a bit.....flat, but this was the best film of the festival for me.

Re: Under the Shadow
This is a fairly disturbing movie and its was easy to empathise with the main characters. Again, though, its inevitably overshadowed by films with similar themes, mainly The Babadook, The Canal, The Hallow and Sinister.
