WHAT JAKE DID NEXT.

Our old friend EVIL ALIENS and DOGHOUSE director Jake West is back again with THE SCRIBBLER. Being produced by Stealth Media Group, shooting is scheduled to begin on March 1 in the UK. The film is a noir sci-fi action thriller about a young woman recently released from a mental hospital, and continuing a treatment programme to rid her of her alternate personalities. She moves into a halfway house for mental patients where the residents begin to die at an unusual rate.

GET SCARED WITH ANDY NYMAN!

Another festival friend Andy Nyman (DEAD SET etc) has collaborated with the very wonderful Jeremy (LEAGUE OF GENTLEMEN) Dyson on a stage project entitled GHOST STORIES. Here’s an email and a teaser trailer link from the man himself…

So here is the teaser trailer for mine & Jeremy's play 'Ghost Stories'. It plays at the Liverpool playhouse 4th - 20th Feb before coming to the Lyric Hammersmith 24th Feb - 3rd April. Trailer here. It truly has come from Jeremy & my hearts and will hopefully delight Frightfesters. Thought you'd like to see it.

NEXT FROM THE RING MAN

Original RINGU director Hideo Nakata is now signed to direct Zanuck Independent's supernatural horror VOICE FROM THE STONE. This project is based on the Italian cult novel of the same name, the story centers on a female psychologist who takes on the case of a young boy who made a promise to his dying mother to remain silent until her spirit returns. The psychologist begins to realize that the boy's dead mother has manipulated her in order to take possession of her body so she can be reunited with her son. Production starts early next year.
