ELI ROTH’S COTTON NAME CHANGE

A film we saw a brief, early promo for during last years Cannes Film Festival was an Eli Roth production entitled COTTON. Shot in a cinema verite style this tale of Devilish possession looked very interesting. Directed by Daniel Stamm the film has now undergone a name change to THE LAST EXORCISM. Lions Gate are releasing in the US with Optimum holding UK rights.

BURKE AND HARE IS A GO!

John Landis has just started filming his new horror comedy BURKE AND HARE here in the UK. The starry cast (and featuring Paul (BEWARE THE MOON) Davis in a small role) has additionally gained the services of the legendary Christopher Lee. Here’s a look at the first artwork for the film hot from the EFM.

SURVIVE THE DEAD IN MARCH

March 15th is the date that George Romero’s latest zombie film SURVIVAL OF THE DEAD comes to UK dvd and Blu Ray from Optimum. No extras announced yet but here’s a look at the cover art.

A DATE FOR DARIO FANS

On the 22nd March Arrow Films will be releasing super deluxe editions of three Dario Argento features.. TERROR AT THE OPERA, THE CARD PLAYER and STENDHAL SYNDROME. Here’s the dvd specifications for the releases.. they all sport dual covers and here for your delectation are the brilliant alternates for each.

Terror at the Opera

This special edition features two edits of the film and three separate audio dubs, including the infamous English language ‘Cannes Film Festival dub’ and the ‘studio approved dub’ that replaced it.
