Max is a rebellious, troubled man who has been sentenced to community service at a quiet, high-class retirement home. But he soon realises the caretakers and residents harbour sinister secrets and aren’t quite as they seem. As he investigates the building and the mysteriously strictly-off-limits fourth floor - the inmates there are said to require ‘special care’ - his suspicions grow and he starts to uncover surprising connections to his murky past and upbringing as a foster child. Digging deeper, he uncovers a chilling secret that puts the residents' lives and his own in grave danger.
